الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الحَمْدُ لِلَّه
Happy Workers' Day to my fellow colleagues!
It's the right time for us to express the achievements and obstacles we're recording in the course of our work. Insha'Allah, I'll explain how most of us suffer on our way to our workplace and the nature of the work.
In Nigeria, especially the northern region, it is very lucky and glorious to secure a job, but Alhamdulillah, we have secured.
Though, that can't stop us from telling the world the ups and downs we're facing in the course of our job due to the current hardship in the country.
Firstly, I used to come to work either from my hometown (Tudun-wada) or Mundadu of Shekar me Daki area of Kumbotso LG.
When I'm from my hometown, I used to wake up at 5 am, take a shower, and trek for 10 minutes to the bus stop where I will get a bus to Kano at a cost of #1800 before, while now, only God knows the price may be #2000.
While if I'm coming from Mundadu, I usually wake up in the morning as early as 6 am, take my shower, wear my clothes, and trek for almost 5 minutes from home to Diga, where I usually wait for like 1-2 minutes to get a Keke Napep. The Napep will carry me to Kwanar Gwanduje of Sharada. In Kwanar Gwanduje, before, I used to wait for 5-6 minutes, but now, I wait for more than 30 minutes to get a Napep. After getting the Napep, we would ride for almost 30-40 minutes to reach my workplace. From the main gate, I will then trek for almost 10 minutes to reach my area of primary assignment.
Secondly, the nature of the work is clearly known to everyone since everybody is visiting the hospital. As usual, nurses run 3 shifts in a day:
- Morning shift starting from 7:30 am-3 pm
- Evening shift starting from 2:30 pm-8:30 pm
- Night shift starting from 8:30 pm-8 am
In my workplace, most of the units are covered by 2 nurses per shift, regardless of the number of patients. Most of the patients and patient relatives have no patience as you're busy attending to a patient, and another patient or relative is busy distracting you by calling your attention to a very miscellaneous thing. Nurses, as workers, are going through a lot, but Alhamdulillah.
Alhamdulillah for being a Nurse and a Nigerian worker. As a nurse, you'll live peacefully in a community and benefit them in one way or the other. Also, Alhamdulillah for being among the lucky people to secure the job and be opportuned to interact with so many important personalities.
We always value our work because thousands need us. We respect our work because we're professionals. We respect our work because we're well-trained. We respect our work because we're workers. We respect our work because we're Nigerians.
We assure Nigerians that we will continue to work diligently, professionally, and ethically as we are trained.
Despite that, we will continue to fight for our rights as workers.
God bless us, and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
HAPPY WORKERS' DAY IN ADVANCE!

Alhamdulillah
Today I paid a courtesy visit to our father and mentor, Hon. Abdullahi Ilyasu Yaryasa, in person. During the visit, we had a very fruitful discussion about our mutual relationship and I received valuable fatherly advice. Thank you, Sir, and I will remain forever grateful.
Allah yabudu maka da kufofin alkhairai ta inda ka zata da inda baka zata ba.
