ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POST OF HEADTEACHER

AFRILIGHT SCHOOLS is established in 2018 with the aim of producing well trained and morally sound students that will excel in their higher education and survive the rigors of life wherever they find themselves. Located at Zawachiki housing estate, the school is looking for a competent and experienced headteacher that will drive the affairs of the school.

Responsibilities
▪ Serves as the school sole/executive head
▪ Organizer and coordinator of all school’s day to day academic as well as extracurricular activities
▪ Sole overseer of all staff in the way and manner they undertake their responsibilities
▪ Ensures compliance to AFRILIGHT SCHOOLS curriculum, policies, guidelines, rules, and regulations by all and in all endeavors
▪ Responsible for designing, assigning and delegation of responsibilities among staff based on merit, ability, specialization and provisions of the operational policies and guidelines.
▪ Ensures the safety and security of all staff, pupils, and properties in and around the school.
▪ Monitoring all relationships between pupils and teachers, pupils between themselves and between all staff to ensure healthy and ethically acceptable relationships.
▪ In charge of the welfare of teachers, other staff, and pupils accordingly.
▪ Deals directly, but ethically and based on the provisions of the school’s policies, with all parents on behalf of AFRILIGHT SCHOOLS

Qualifications and attributes
The applicant is expected to have the following as requirements:
▪ Minimum of bachelor degree in education
▪ At least 5 years of teaching experience
▪ Conversant with basic use of computer productivity tools
▪ At least 3 years administrative experience
▪ Good industry awareness and knowledge
▪ Excellent interpersonal skills
▪ Excellent in both spoken and written English language.
Applicants with the following attributes will have additional advantage
▪ Possession of master degree in education
▪ Proficiency in conventional, Quran and Islamiyyah subjects
▪ Proficiency in Arabic language would be an added advantage
