Subject: Urgent Call for the Rehabilitation and Revitalization of Dawakin Tofa Science College
Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
As proud alumni of Dawakin Tofa Science College, we recently embarked on a mission to revisit our beloved alma mater, with hearts full of hope and spirits lifted by the prospect of witnessing transformation. Our aim was to assess the current state of the institution that has been the cornerstone of academic excellence and character development for many of us, and that has significantly shaped our academic and professional lives.
However, what we encountered was both alarming and heartbreaking, a stark reminder of the urgent need for collective action to revive this esteemed institution. The condition of the school has deteriorated significantly and now requires immediate intervention to prevent further decline and unlock its full potential.
Major Challenges Observed
1. Deteriorating Learning Environment
Many of the academic facilities are in a poor state of repair, dimming the luster of what once were vibrant hubs of learning. Classrooms and surrounding educational infrastructure no longer provide the conducive atmosphere necessary for effective teaching and learning, which is the bedrock of academic success. Students are striving to pursue academic excellence under conditions that are far below acceptable standards, inspiring our resolve to make a difference.
2. Disturbing Hostel and Living Conditions
The boarding facilities are in an extremely poor condition, crying out for urgent attention and renovation. Several hostel structures show visible signs of neglect, including damaged roofing, deteriorated ceilings, broken fittings, and inadequate maintenance, starkly contrasting
