Courtesy Visit: MPPPM&E Explores Opportunities for Collaboration



The Honorable Commissioner Ministry for Public Procurement Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Kano State, Hon. Ibrahim Ali Namadi has yesterday received a delegation from the Association of Public Procurement Practitioners, Kano state led by its acting chairman Auwal Jibrin on a courtesy visit to the ministry for Public Procurement Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Kano state.



The objective of the visit was to explore opportunities for mutual collaboration in ensuring that procurement procedures and regulation are complied with as determine by the State and Local Government resources.



The Acting Chairman of the association also a Procurement Officer at Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano Malam Auwal Jibrin gave the background of the association its mission and vision. He said that the association aimed to familiarize with the Ministry for Public Procurement saying that since the inception of the association in 2021 never opportune to meet with the ministry until this moment.



“Even though we have national body and been in existence here in Kano since the year 2021, but the association cannot move alone without the ministry, that is why we are here to introduce ourselves to you in order to know our existence,” the chairman said.



The Chairman thanked the Honorable Commissioner Ministry for Public Procurement project Monitoring and Evaluation, Kano State, Hon Ibrahim Ali Namadi Dala for the training recently organized for the procurement officers in the state. He then sought support of the Honorable Commissioner to carry them along in their activities, memberships registration, interventions and help them to have here in Kano a vehicle and an office space for the association. He noted that state like Jigawa and Yobe are ahead of us in term of memberships, although Kano state is mother to all of these states as they all have Procurement Officers and Procur
