Positive Care and Development Foundation (PCDF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving access to quality healthcare and inclusive development for children with clubfoot and other vulnerable populations across Nigeria. PCDF implements programmes in HIV/OVC services, clubfoot care, safeguarding, community health promotion, and health systems strengthening.

Job Title: State Program Officer

Role Summary

The State Program Officer will support program implementation, community mobilisation, clinic operations, volunteer supervision, and reporting at the state level
Key Responsibilities

Mobilise communities, engage influencers, and strengthen referral pathways.
Map and document all facilities involved in clubfoot care, including traditional bone setters.
Support clinic operations, ensure adherence to SOPs, and maintain accurate records.
Supervise, mentor, and monitor volunteers in LGAs and wards.
Conduct daily security checks and escalate field risks.  Manage brace/consumables inventory and reporting.
Collate daily, weekly, and monthly state-level reports.
Qualifications

3 – 5 years relevant experience in public health or community-based programmes.
Must be a resident in the state of implementation.
Must own and use a functional Android phone for reporting.
Fluency in Hausa or Yoruba is an added advantage.
Experience working within the state is preferred.

NEC ENDORSES CONVERSION OF VPs & VPS TO PUs
The National Economic Council(NEC) has endorsed the conversion of existing Voting Points(VPs) and Voting Point Settlements(VPS) to Polling Units(PUs) in order to immediately address the congestion of existing Polling Units and to provide for large swathes across the country without the PUs.
The National Economic Council is a body presided by the Vice President and consisting of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, thirty-six State Governors and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory(FCT), among others.
The unanimous endorsement which took place at the Banquet Hall, State House, Abuja, came hot on the heels of a succinct presentation by the INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, on the Commission’s determination to urgently expand voter access to Polling Units. As at now, Professor Yakubu stated, the congestion which bedevilled existing Polling Units and their abject unavailability to those who deserved them had assumed the proportion of a crisis.
The 119,973 existing Polling Units were created in 1996, twenty five years ago.
Professor Yakubu disclosed that once a national consensus was forged or crystallized by Stakeholders in favor of conversion of existing VPs and VPS to Polling Units, the Commission could proceed to establish new Polling Units by March 2021.
He explained that it was necessary for the new Polling Units to be created next month to pave way for the re-commencement of the Continous Voter Registration(CVR) exercise which was suspended shortly before the conduct of the 2019 General Elections. Said he: “The creation of new Polling Units can be accomplished before the end of March(2021). This is because PUs have to be determined before the re- commencement of the Continous Voter Registration exercise.”
The INEC Chairman was accompanied at today’s presentation by five National Commissioners, namely: Malam Mohammed Kudu Haruna, Dr. Adekunle Ogunmola, Barrister May Agbamuche-Mbu, Barrister Festu

*WHO IS RICH?*
One day, i drove into BOVAS Petrol station from Okefia area, the petrol guaage was on red alert, i had just N200 cash, nothing in bank. I thought it will be better to go park the car at home since i do not have means of refueling, i decided to fuel the car with my last N200 incase the remaining fuel won't take me home.

As i approached the petrol attendant, i imagined how to buy N200 fuel😃. The car i drove was Lexus 300 SUV, so the kind of car was why it was difficult for me🤣.

I saw a beautiful lady petrol attendant, i didnt stop infront of her, i went to the guy next to her, just when i got infront of him, manager called him, so the girl i ran away from had to come sell for me. Chai😒

She: Are u using POS sir?

Me: No

She: How much should i sell?

Me (stammered) N200

She: N2000? (She thought she heard wrongly)

Me: No, sell N200 ( i was regaining confidence).

The surprise was written all over her, i looked away, she sold it and i drove off🤷🏽‍♀

Just around vanguard supermarket, an old friend waived me down and i stopped. He just left a restaurant, he had tooth pick in his mouth.

HIM: Wale you are big man o, It is jeep you are driving now, your money has come o.

Me: we are just managing ni ore

Hmmm how do i tell him i do not have a kobo on me? How do i explain i have not eaten any food since morning and do not have any means of eating for whole day? I saw some naira note in his chest pocket but how do i sit in a car and beg this guy trekking for money, he wont trust me, while i was thinking this, he said.

HIM: Wale come give me something nah.

Me: I have nothing here presently, if you give me i will take sef.

HIM: Don't be stingy joor, you that is a big man🙆🏾‍♀😀 driving big car.

We exchanged greetings and i left on my empty stomach in car, he left trekking on a filled tummy. Life!!!

I parked the car at home and trekked to office. It took another two days to regain myself from low cash.
