AMBUVETS KONSULT LTD was pleased to contribute to the national document development process on Newcastle Disease control, convened by the Federal Ministry of Livestock Development.
Representing Ambuvets, Dr. Wayuta Mshelia presented our field experience and participated actively in the technical review and development of the document.
Our central message was clear: Newcastle Disease control requires more than vaccine supply, it requires a sustainable delivery system that connects quality vaccines, trusted frontline providers, rural access points, routine vaccination calendars, farmer mobilization and practical data systems.
Drawing from Ambuvetsโ work with village poultry producers, agrovets, veterinarians, VPPs and community animal health workers, and sub-national governments, we advanced several priorities:

โ๏ธ Routine and predictable vaccination calendars
โ๏ธ Supervised last-mile delivery through trained frontline providers
โ๏ธ Stronger inclusion of women poultry keepers
โ๏ธ Practical public-private-community implementation models
โ๏ธ Simple, useful systems for service and disease reporting
For Ambuvets, this engagement reflects our growing role beyond service delivery: bringing field evidence, private-sector experience and implementation insight into the design of stronger animal health systems.
We commend the Federal Ministry of Livestock Development and all participating stakeholders for creating space for practical experience to inform national action.
