History Made!

The Optica Students Association(OPSA-KD) officially launched with a powerful and inspiring inaugural ceremony held at the Physics Department Board Room, Kaduna State University.

We were deeply honored by the presence of our esteemed Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abdullahi Musa, who graciously attended and offered his full support.

Also in attendance were the Deputy Dean of Physical Sciences, Dr. M.K. Dauda, the Head of the Physics Department, Dr. Alhassan Shuaibu, our ever supportive advisors Prof. Zakari Ladan and Dr. Kabir I. Aliyu, our guest speaker, Dr. Munir M. Aliyu and other distinguished faculty members, dignitaries, and guests and students who believe in the future of optics and photonics in Nigeria.

Themed “The Role of Optics and Photonics in Shaping Technological Advancements,” the event marked the beginning of a new era—where innovation, impact, and academic excellence will be driven through light-based science.

We are committed to building a vibrant network of young minds ready to transform the world through optics and photonics.

This is just the beginning—watch this space!
