🌍 CEESR-KASU Selected as Stakeholder for State-Level Policy Development Workshop

The Centre for Energy & Environmental Strategy Research (CEESR), Kaduna State University, has been selected to participate as a key stakeholder in a two-day State-Level Workshop on the Drafting of Policy Implementation Plans and Guidance for Off-Grid Renewable Energy Equipment and Waste Management.

The workshop is being conducted under the UNIDO Circular Economy Project and funded by the European Union, with the objective of advancing sustainable management of renewable energy equipment waste and supporting Nigeria's transition to a green and circular economy.

CEESR Postgraduate Bi-Monthly Seminar Successfully Held

The Centre for Energy and Environmental Strategy Research (CEESR), Kaduna State University, successfully hosted its Postgraduate Bi-Monthly Seminar on Saturday, 13th June 2026.

📌 Theme: AI-Driven Carbon Sequestration Mapping, Digital MRV, and Carbon Financing Opportunities for Nigeria’s Net-Zero Transition

The seminar featured an insightful presentation by Dr. Zaharadeen Isa, who explored the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in carbon sequestration mapping, Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV), and emerging carbon financing opportunities that can support Nigeria’s journey toward a net-zero future.

The event brought together postgraduate students, researchers, academics, and professionals for engaging discussions on climate innovation, environmental sustainability, and the application of digital technologies in addressing contemporary environmental challenges.
