KADUNA STATE UNIVERSITY UPDATE:

KASU and Tita Universal: A Digital leap forward.

Kaduna State University and Tita Universal Services officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Monday, 18th March 2024, marking the commencement of e-timetable and other class scheduling initiatives for students and lecturers.

The inaugural ceremony took place at the Vice-Chancellor's complex, where the KASU management team, led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Prof. Yusha'u Ibrahim Ango, joined the Tita Universal team, led by its company secretary, Aisha Aminu Muhammad, in signing the MoU.

Aisha Aminu Muhammad, the company secretary of Tita Universal, expressed gratitude to the University and highlighted KASU's commitment to embracing digital solutions, which are now standard practice. She emphasised that Tita is a local firm with significant expertise in developing apps aligned with modern technology trends.

In response, Prof. Yusha'u Ango appreciated Tita Universal and emphasized that this collaboration aligns with the University's strategic goal of becoming a world-class institution.

The second part of the event unfolded at the 1000-seater Auditorium, where the Tita team engaged with KASU staff and students, introducing them to the Tita app (for students) and Lecti app (for lecturers). These apps, available on the Play Store and App Store, offer features like academic calendars, course updates, notifications, lecture scheduling, assignment submission, and more, facilitating interactive communication between students and lecturers.

The event was interactive, with the Tita team assisting attendees in downloading the apps using the provided Wi-Fi and demonstrating how to navigate the app features effectively.

The vote of thanks was delivered by the university's Registrar, Barr. Samira Balarabe, expressing appreciation to all attendees and wishing them a safe journey home.

Also in attendance during the event were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Strategy, Innovation and Service Delivery, Prof. Helen A. Andow, Provost, College of Humanities, Education and Law, Prof. Ahmed Kofa Babajo, Provost, College of Science, Engineering and Computing, Prof. HO Aboh, Provost, College of Communication, Social and Management Sciences, Prof. Gimba Victor Kyari, the SA to the VC on Research Culture, Prof. Hauwa'u E. Yusuf, the Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences, Dr Rahilatu Muhammad, the University Legal Adviser, Barr. Abdulmutallab Idris, Public Relations Officer, Adamu Nuhu Bargo, Administrative Assistant to the VC, Josephat Bakut and the Protocol Officer to the Vice-Chancellor, Abdulhadi Tanko.

KADUNA STATE UNIVERSITY UPDATE:

KASU to host the 2nd Edition of the Kaduna Metro Inter-Tertiary Institutions Games

Kaduna State University is set to host the 2nd Edition of the Kaduna Metro Inter-tertiary Institutions Games from Monday, 26th to Thursday, 29th February 2024, at its Main Campus. Participating institutions include the Federal College of Forestry Mechanization, Greenfield University, Kaduna State University, and Kaduna Polytechnic.

The competition features various events, including football (male), badminton (male and female), basketball (male and female), volleyball (male and female), and table tennis (male and female). This annual sporting event aims to foster social integration among tertiary institution students in the Kaduna Metropolis and prepare them for national and international sports competitions.

Kaduna State University holds the current title as the overall winner from the 1st edition hosted by Greenfield University. All are invited to join in this exciting sports spectacle and support the spirit of healthy competition among these institutions.
