Few hours. One table. One vision.
Today, the KBLC Consultation Team sat together for about four hours plus to review, rethink, and strengthen the Kaduna Bible Literacy Challenge (KBLC) ahead of its maiden edition in 2026.
Our discussions focused on three important areas:
π The Contestants β reviewing the structure, expectations, and experience we want to create for the teenagers participating in this first edition.
π The Judging Rubrics β carefully examining how contestants will be assessed, ensuring that our judging process is fair, transparent, consistent, and truly measures Bible literacy rather than guesswork or personal preferences.
π The Question Bank β perhaps one of the most important parts of the conversation. We began developing a strategy for building a robust question bank that will challenge the contestants, remain faithful to Scripture, and provide a solid foundation for future editions of the KBLC.
Four hours may sound like a long meeting, but when the goal is to build something that can serve a generation, you don't rush the foundation.
The maiden edition of the KBLC is not just about who wins a competition. It is about creating an environment where teenagers can know the Scriptures, engage the Word, grow in biblical understanding, and discover the joy of studying the Bible.
We are grateful to every member of the Consultation Team for the time, wisdom, questions, criticisms, and ideas shared today.
We are building.
And we are building carefully.
The journey continues.
