Kaduna Science and Technology Hub

The corona virus (COVID-19) pandemic has hit the globe and have caused severe damages.
As the Government eases the lockdown, certain preventive measures must be adopted.
A local science and technology hub in Kaduna have designed an ENTRANCE TEMPERATURE CHECKER (ETC), a door shaped temperature checking device that can function without external assistance. This device can be placed in front of places where contact cannot be completely avoided like markets, hospitals, banks, offices, town gates or borders and many more.
This will help detect people with high temperatures without close contact.

How is ETC different from the normal thermometer?

The ETC differs from the conventional hand thermometer in ways as follows:
* The ETC requires little training for users
* It reduces the risk of the security guard getting infected
* It is faster and will reduce crowding
* It is door like and can easily be placed at any entrance
* It requires easy supervision as it detects temperature once a person passes through it.

This product was constructed by a local team and as such enhanced productivity requires support.
