Everybody keeps saying βUniJos changed my life.β
Now the question is:
What are we willing to build for UniJos in return?
The Alumni Secretariat is not another structure on campus, it will be a lasting statement.
A statement that Josites are connected, that we believe in legacy and are ready to build something that represents all of us properly.
From Abuja Hostel to Naraguta, village hostel nights and lecture hall struggles to boardrooms across the world, this project carries every part of our story.
And honestly,a community as powerful as ours deserves a home that reflects it.
So letβs ask the real question:
If every Josite contributed something meaningful to this project⦠imagine what we could build together.

Dear esteemed Josites,
On behalf of the NEC, we sincerely appreciate and thank everyone, particularly Mallam Idris Yakubu, for taking out time to participate in the CWC meeting, as well as for the valuable contributions, dedication, and unwavering commitment shown towards the growth of the University of Jos Alumni Association and the development of the proposed Global Secretariat Project, which formed the sole agenda of the meeting.
The meeting further reinforced our shared vision of building a lasting legacy for present and future Josites across the world. While reaffirming the commitment of the NEC towards the overall growth of the Association and the successful completion of the Alumni Secretariat project, the following resolutions were reached:
1. Each chapter is expected to contribute a minimum of Two Million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira (β¦2,500,000.00).
2. Each chapter, except Abuja, Lagos, and Plateau Chapters, is expected to identify five distinguished Josites whom the National Body can approach for support towards the building of the Alumni Centre.
3. Every Josite is encouraged to contribute Ten Thousand Naira (β¦10,000.00) towards this historic project.
4. Monthly updates on the progress of the project will be communicated accordingly.
We deeply appreciate the unity, sacrifice, cooperation, and sense of ownership already being demonstrated by Josites worldwide. Together, we will not only build a Secretariat, but also strengthen a legacy that generations after us will be proud of.
Together, we will start and complete this project to the glory of God and in service to humanity.

Another proud moment for every Josite across the world.
The University of Jos has emerged as the highest beneficiary at the 6th edition of the National Tertiary Admissions Performance-Merit (NATAP-M) Awards organized by JAMB, receiving a remarkable β¦500 Million award in recognition of exceptional performance within Nigeriaβs admission system.
Our great institution emerged:
π 1st in admission of international students
π 2nd in compliance with JAMB admission policy
π 6th in national spread of admitted students
This achievement is a reflection of the steady growth, excellence, credibility and national relevance the University of Jos continues to represent.
While presenting the award to the Management and Committee of Deans and Directors, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Tanko Ishaya, attributed the success to the dedication and hard work of staff across the institution, while encouraging the university community to see this recognition as a call to even greater excellence.
As alumni, this moment reminds us once again why we are proud to be called Josites. From classrooms to boardrooms, from Nigeria to the global stage, the University of Jos continues to raise men and women of impact while earning national recognition for excellence and integrity.
We celebrate the Vice Chancellor, Management, Staff, Students and the entire University community for this remarkable feat.
The glory of our alma mater continues to shine brighter.

Dear Great Josities,
APPRECIATION
I remind us that in mid April, I was in Benue State in the company of the Benue State Chapter Chairman, Prof. Gowon Doki and the Alumni Assistant Secretary General, Mr. Terfa. Tsetim, to visit a great Josite who is also the Secretary to the State Government. DCNS Serumun Deborah Aber, Esq
I am delighted to inform us that some days ago, we received a generous donation of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N500,000.00) from her towards the building of the Global Secretariat of the Alumni Association.
We are profoundly grateful to her for this kind gesture and we also appreciate the efforts of the Benue State Chairman and the Assistant Secretary General for making the visit possible.
We will look forward to direct and indirect support from Josities and friends of Josties towards the development of the Alumni Secretariat.
Thank you all.
Gad Peter

Thereβs a spot in PSite many people walk past without realizing what it is becoming.
Just after the bend.
Beside the ASUU Secretariat.
Before the school clinic.
Right there⦠a future is waiting quietly.
Today, it may look like a building project.
But years from now, it could become one of the most important symbols of what it truly means to be a Josite.
Pause and imagine this for a second:
A young graduate walks into the Alumni Secretariat for the first time, hopeful, searching for direction and inside, they find mentors, opportunities and connections.
Elsewhere in the building, classmates who havenβt seen each other in 20 years are laughing like no time passed.
A meeting is happening in another room where partnership are formed and memories are made all over again.
That building will not only be offices or spaces, it will hold stories.
Stories of people who once sat in overcrowded lecture hallsβ¦
queued at the clinicβ¦
trekked from Management Sciences under the Jos sunβ¦
and still carried dreams big enough to change their lives.
This is why the Alumni Secretariat matters.
Because every great community eventually needs a home.
Not borrowed, not temporary but, Ours.
And one day, generations after us will step into that building and benefit from something they did not personally build because Josites before them chose to think beyond themselves.
Maybe thatβs the real beauty of legacy.
This is bigger than a project now.
It is becoming a symbol of who we are.
