SUG GREEN INITIATIVE: A CALL TO BUILD A GREENER UNIVERSITY OF JOS
The Students' Union Government (SUG), University of Jos, warmly invites all students to participate in the SUG Green Initiative, the opening event of the 2026 SUG Week, scheduled to hold on Monday, 20th July, 2026.
Under the theme "Grow More, Cut Less," this initiative is more than a ceremonial tree-planting exercise. It is a collective commitment to environmental sustainability, responsible stewardship, and the preservation of our campus for future generations.
Every tree planted represents a lasting contribution to the University community—providing cleaner air, improving our environment, and leaving behind a legacy that will outlive us.
Tomorrow presents every student with an opportunity to be part of something meaningful and impactful.
The event will also feature insightful discussions on environmental conservation, the importance of green spaces, and the future development of the University's botanical garden. Students from all faculties are encouraged to attend and actively participate.
