I Carry the Light Even though they mostly make Fun of Me by their Uncharitable Jokes
But I am a Teacher.
I don't Qualify for a Bungalow or a Villa nor Earn enough to buy an Expensive House or a Car like Corrupt Officers and Corrupt Politicians.
But Yes, I am a Teacher.
Some Think or even Say that I have too many Holidays. They never know that I Spend those Holidays either correcting Papers or Planning what and how I am going to Teach when I go back to Blackboard or Whiteboard ...
Because I am a Teacher.
Sometimes I get Confused and even get Stressed by the Ever-changing Policies over what and how I have to Teach ...
Despite All That, I am a Teacher and I Love to Teach and I am Teaching.
On Pay-days I don't Laugh as Corrupt Officers and Others do, But by the Next day I Love to come with a Smile to those that I Teach ...
Because I am a Teacher 👏
I am a proud teacher no matter what.

Candidates Under 18 years Won’t Be Allow to Write WAEC, NECO, JAMB from 2025 – Minister of Education
Minister of Education, Tahir Mamman has said that underage candidates will no longer be allowed to sit for secondary school leaving examinations.
The minister disclosed this while featuring on Channels Television on Sunday
He said the Federal Government has instructed the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) which administers the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and the National Examinations Council (NECO) which organises the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) to comply with the directive on 18 years age limit for any candidate to be eligible for the two examinations.
Mamman also insisted that the age limit for any candidate to write the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) organised by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) remained 18 years.
The minister said, “It is 18 (years). What we did at the meeting that we had with JAMB (in July) was to allow this year and for it to serve as a kind of notice for parents that this year, JAMB will admit students who are below that age but from next year, JAMB is going to insist that anybody applying to go to university in Nigeria meets the required age which is 18.
“For the avoidance of doubt, this is not a new policy; this is a policy that has been there for a long time.
“Even basically if you compute the number of years pupils, and learners are supposed to be in school, the number you will end up with is 17 and a half – from early child care to primary school to junior secondary school and then senior secondary school. You will end up with 17 and a half by the time they are ready for admission.
“So, we are not coming up with new policy contrary to what some people are saying; we are just simply reminding people of what is existing.
“In any case, NECO and WAEC, henceforth will not be allowing underage children to write their examinations. In other words, if somebody has not spent the requisite number of years in that particular level of study, WAEC and NECO will not allow them to write the examination.”
The minister went further to give a breakdown of the number of years pupils are expected to spend between child care and senior secondary school.
According to him, early care is expected to last for the first five years. Pupils are expected to begin primary one at the age of six, spend six years in primary school and move to junior secondary school at the age of 12, spend three years, before moving to senior secondary school at the age of 15, to spend three more years and leave for university at the age of 18.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR STUDENTS AS THEY FINALLY FINISHED THEIR EXAMS YESTERDAY. BEST WISHES ON YOUR JOURNEY AHEAD, GUYS🎉🎉
I was teaching a class one day, and I began asking the students questions.
👨🏾"What do you want to become in the future?"
🗣️ "A DOCTOR!" 👨⚕️👩⚕️
🗣️ "A FAMOUS PILOT!" 🧔👩🛫
🗣️ "A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS MAN!" 👨💼
🗣️ "A LAWYER!" 👨⚖️
🗣️ "A PRESIDENT!" 🕴️
🗣️ "A MILLIONAIRE!" 💰💰
🗣️ "A CHEF!" 👨🍳👩🍳
The students enthusiastically shouted their respective choices, their voices overlapping. But amid the excited responses, there was a girl who sat near the window, his chin resting on her palms.
She appeared lost in thought and had a sad expression.
👨🏾"Hey! You over there, what do you want to become in the future?"
I walked over and stood in front of her. She stood up weakly and whispered,
👧🏽"I want to live."
The whole class burst into laughter.
"Who doesn't want to live?"
one of the students at the back shouted mockingly.
Another round of laughter filled the classroom.
I calmed the class down and turned back to the Girl.
👨🏾 "Does it mean you don't care about your future? Look at your classmates—they're already planning their futures, and you should too."
The girl looked at me with tears in hee eyes and said,
👧🏽"I have cancer, and my doctor said tomorrow is my last day."
Silence engulfed the classroom😱😰. I was stunned by the revelation.
I held her close and hugged her tightly🫂. Imagine knowing that you have just a day to live—the feeling is heartbreaking.
The other students gathered around and hugged her in turn.
A few days later, we received the news that she had passed away😭😭.
My heart has always hesitated to share this story, but it's become evident that countless individuals face unimaginable challenges every day.
If you ever find yourself in a position to put a smile on someone's face, please do not hesitate.
Let love ❤️ lead.
