A. Yusuf, the distinguished Chairman, Establishment Committee of our dear school, as he gracefully bows out of active service.

Dr. Yusuf remarkable contributions to the growth and development of our institution cannot be overstated. He is not just a kindhearted lecturer but also a visionary leader, a gentleman par excellence, and an inspirational mentor whose dedication, wisdom, and unwavering support have shaped the path of countless students and educators.

The Principal described him as “a rare gem, an embodiment of humility, a beacon of knowledge, and a compassionate father figure who never turned away anyone seeking guidance.”

Under his watch, the school has witnessed unprecedented transformation and academic excellence. His leadership style, rooted in patience, empathy, and an open-door policy, created an enabling environment where both teachers and students thrived.

MODEL SECONDARY SCHOOL, ORO WINS 1ST POSITION AT MSSN JIHAD DAY COMPETITION 🏆✨

It gladdens the heart of the school management to inform our esteemed parents and well-wishers that our students have done it again!

Earlier today, our students represented the school in both the Qur’an Recitation and Islamic Quiz Competitions at the MSSN Jihad Day, organized by the EKSU COED Oro Chapter MSSN.

With dedication, brilliance, and the help of Almighty Allah, they came home victorious, clinching the 1st position in both categories.

We are proud of our students’ commitment to excellence and their ability to uphold both academic and moral standards in all competitions.

COED Model Secondary School, Oro Records Outstanding Success in 2025 WAEC Examination

The management of COED Model Secondary School, Oro expresses deep gratitude to Almighty God for granting the school another remarkable academic success in this year West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Despite the nationwide decline in performance percentage as announced by WAEC, our students defied the odds and came out in flying colours, showcasing excellence, resilience, and commitment to their academic pursuits.

This outstanding performance reflects the dedication of our hardworking students, the tireless efforts of our competent teachers, the support of parents, and the consistent commitment of the school leadership to quality education and moral standards.

We are proud to announce that the Muslim students of Model Secondary School, Oro demonstrated excellence and dedication at the recently held JIHAD Day organized by the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Kwara State College of Education, Oro Chapter.

Out of seven participating schools, our students emerged 2nd position in both the Qur’an recitation and Islamic Quiz competition.

This remarkable achievement reflects their hard work, discipline, and the solid Islamic and academic foundation laid by the school and the MSSN unit.

We congratulate all the participants and encourage them to keep striving for excellence both in faith and knowledge.

🎉MODEL SECONDARY SCHOOL, ORO HOSTS FIRST MAIDEN EDITION OF CULTURAL DAY🌍✨

In a remarkable display of unity in diversity, Model Secondary School, Oro successfully held her First Maiden Edition of Cultural Day Celebration, bringing together students and staff in a colourful celebration of Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage.

The event featured a vibrant showcase of traditional attire, food exhibitions, cultural dances, indigenous games, and drama presentations from various ethnic groups, highlighting the values, beauty, and uniqueness of our different cultures.

The Principal of the School, in his opening address, commended the organizing team and students for their active participation, noting that the initiative is aimed at promoting cultural awareness, tolerance, and pride among the students.

The event was graced by invited guests, staff members, and enthusiastic parents who all expressed their delight and applauded the school for taking such a bold and educative step.
