May the Almighty Allah be pleased with his soul

INNĀ LILLĀHI WA INNĀ ILAYHI RĀJIʿŪN

It is with deep shock, heavy hearts, and total submission to the will of Allah that we announce the passing of our revered father, scholar, and spiritual guide, Sheikh Yunus Akanbi Kehinde, the National Chief Imam of the Nawair-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, who returned to his Lord in the midnight hours.

Indeed, the Nawair-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria has lost a great pillar, a custodian of knowledge, and a beacon of guidance. Sheikh Yunus Akanbi Kehinde was not just a leader, but a father to many, a mentor, and a teacher who impacted countless lives through his wisdom, humility, and dedication to the service of Islam.

He played a vital role in shaping the lives of members, imparting beneficial knowledge, nurturing faith, and guiding many on the path of righteousness. His legacy of knowledge, leadership, and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, the leadership and entire members of the Nawair-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, and the Muslim Ummah at large on this monumental loss.

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ وَارْحَمْهُ، وَعَافِهِ وَاعْفُ عَنْهُ، وَأَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهُ، وَوَسِّعْ مُدْخَلَهُ، وَنَوِّرْ قَبْرَهُ، وَاجْعَلْ قَبْرَهُ رَوْضَةً مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ، وَلا تَجْعَلْهُ حُفْرَةً مِنْ حُفَرِ النَّارِ.
اللَّهُمَّ اجْزِهِ عَنِ الْإِسْلَامِ وَالْمُسْلِمِينَ خَيْرَ الْجَزَاءِ، وَارْفَعْ دَرَجَتَهُ فِي الْمَهْدِيِّينَ، وَاخْلُفْهُ فِي عَقِبِهِ فِي الْغَابِرِينَ.
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ مَا عَلَّمَ وَنَشَرَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ نُورًا لَهُ فِي قَبْرِهِ، وَسَبَبًا لِرَفْعِ دَرَجَاتِهِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ.
اللَّهُمَّ أَلْهِمْ أَهْلَهُ وَمُحِبِّيهِ الصَّبْرَ وَالسُّلْوَانَ.

Meaning:
O Allah, forgive him, have mercy on him, grant him pardon and peace, honour his reception, expand and illuminate his grave, and make it a garden from the gardens of Paradise, not a pit from the pits of Hell......

May Almighty Allah accept his return

I am pleased to welcome you all to the 5th Edition of our Inter-House Sports Competition holding here today in the school premises. It is important to state that today’s sports fiesta wouldn’t have been possible but for the robust support that we received from the parents/guardians through their regular participations in our PTA meetings and other Stakeholders engagements. I therefore seize this opportunity to appreciate our PTA Executives for their moral and resourceful supports.

It is an undisputable fact that our students/pupils are routinely engaged in their academic programmes in fulfillment of the awards of various academic certificates at different levels. This, notwithstanding does not prevent them from partaking in other extra curricula activities as regulated by Ogun State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. Also, their academic encumbrance had never stopped them from rigorously practising and rehearsing since they resumed in January, hence they are going to compete as serious as possible today so as to showcase their natural aptitude and talents. It is on this note that I wish to salute our staff members who dedicated their time and resourses to put today’s event together.

Let me also use this medium to applaud our major sponsors for the houses, namely:

To those who are going to compete today, I have few words of encouragement and exhortation for you all. There are similar lessons in life to be learnt and similar attributes to be picked up by you from today’s competition. Naturally, life is tough, rough and competitive. In life as well as in sports, you need determination when times are tough. Life’s race needs to be completed whether you are feeling out of breath or not. You are not only appearing for yourself alone but also representing your friends and colleagues who have put their trust in you to do so fairly and adequately. Please, don’t disappoint them. Meanwhile, let us all embrace the spirit of sportsmanship at the end of it all because every participant is a potential winner since it is your response to winning or losing that actually makes you a winner or otherwise.

To our competition officials, we look forward to proper organization, fairness and conclusion of today’s events with awards for the winners. We know you are capable and we have total confidence that you will direct the affairs accordingly. All eyes are on you and be prepared to accept criticism on what you do or what you do not do. May the Almighty Allah guide us aright

I sincerely thank all of you who have come to honour us today with your presence as I also wish to awaken us to the reality of a fast-growing moral, cultural and ICT-inclined academic citadel of learning with a bias in Islamic education and upbringing. By and large, Nawair-Ud-Deen Group of Schools is an institution of choice within the environs as we continue to grow from strength to more strength on yearly basis. May Almighty Allah continue to strengthen us, Ameen.
Please, let us all sit down comfortably and enjoy the competition in peace. Once again, you are welcome. Thank you all for your rapt attention.
