LEADERSHIP, SERVICE AND THE RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.💚✊🏿
The 10th Students’ Union, Kwara State University, is pleased to celebrate its President, Comrade Habibullah Muhammad Gbolahan, on his recent feature in the Nigeria University Times.
The feature provides a valuable platform for the President to articulate his perspectives on the evolving landscape of student leadership and the importance of cultivating a new leadership culture across tertiary institutions.
At the heart of this vision is the belief that effective student leadership must be anchored in accessibility, accountability, competence, inclusivity, integrity, and service. Leadership should not be measured solely by the authority attached to a position, but by the quality of representation, the responsiveness of institutions, and the tangible difference made in the lives of those we serve.
For the Progress Era Administration, this philosophy remains central to our mandate. The Progress Era is not simply a slogan; it is a commitment to translating vision into action, dialogue into solutions, and responsibility into measurable impact.
As a Students’ Union, we remain committed to strengthening student representation, promoting constructive engagement between students and university stakeholders, amplifying the concerns and aspirations of KWASUites, and contributing meaningfully to a more inclusive and progressive university community.
We sincerely appreciate Nigeria University Times for the recognition and for creating a platform through which student leaders can contribute to broader conversations on leadership, education, governance, and the future of young people.
This recognition is both an honour and a renewed call to service.
