In a dramatic show of defiance, thousands of supporters who defected from the APC openly set their brooms ablaze, symbolically renouncing their former party and declaring their full alignment with the PDP alongside their leader.

He accused Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of disappointing Kwarans and neglecting those who worked hard to bring the administration to power, stressing that his move is driven by the need to align with a people-oriented platform.
In his remarks, the State Chairman of the party, Honorable Isa Bawa Adamu, expressed delight at the development and warmly welcomed Honorable Adepoju and his supporters into the PDP.
He assured them of equal rights and full integration within the party, urging them to see themselves as bona fide members with the same privileges as existing members. The chairman also commended Honorable Adepoju for his longstanding contributions and loyalty to the PDP cause, as well as his admiration and support for Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki even prior to his official defection.
