JAMB REGULARIZATION GUIDELINES:

JAMB regularization is for candidates who gained admission into National Diploma (ND) programs without JAMB’s approval. This applies if you wrote JAMB but only received admission from your institution.

Without a valid JAMB admission letter, you cannot process NYSC. Follow these steps to regularize your admission:

1. Submit Documents to Your Institution
Visit your school’s admission office with:
- National Diploma Admission Letter
- National Diploma Statement of Result

2. Institution Uploads Your Details
Your institution will upload your admission details to the JAMB portal on your behalf.

3. Confirm Upload and Await Approval
- Check with your institution to confirm your details have been uploaded.
- Once uploaded, wait for JAMB to review and approve the regularization.

4. Complete the Process at JAMB Office
After JAMB approves it:
- Visit the JAMB State Office only. Do not go to a JAMB CBT centre.
- Go with your WAEC/NECO result and National Diploma Statement of Result.

Once processing is complete, JAMB will issue you a regularization form. Submit this form to the institution where you completed your National Diploma.

📝TODAY’S JAMB LATEST UPDATE (JUNE 2, 2026)

1. JAMB Mop-Up Exam Confirmed for June 13:

JAMB has officially fixed Saturday, June 13, 2026 for the UTME mop-up examination. This is for candidates who were biometrically verified but could not sit for the main UTME due to technical issues, verification problems, or other approved reasons.

2. Printing of Mop-Up Notification Slips Starts:

June 6 Affected candidates are expected to begin printing their examination notification slips from June 6, 2026 to know their centres and exam details.

3. Original JAMB Result Slip Printing Still Not Activated JAMB has explained that the portal for printing the Original UTME Result Slip is still unavailable because the board is concluding foreign examinations and preparing for the mop-up exercise. Candidates have been asked to remain patient.

4. Admission Cut-Off Marks Remain Unchanged According to the latest policy, the minimum admission benchmarks remain

•Universities — 150

•Colleges of Nursing Sciences — 140

•Polytechnics, Colleges of Education, and related institutions — 100

5. Change of Course/Institution Still Ongoing Candidates who wish to change their course or institution can still do so through JAMB-approved CBT centres while schools continue releasing Post-UTME and screening updates.

1. Merit Admission

This type of admission is based purely on performance.
• Your scores in UTME/JAMB, Post-UTME, and O’Level are what matter.
• No special advantage is given to anyone.
• The highest-scoring candidates are selected first.

👉 In simple terms: If your score is high enough, you get in—no matter where you’re from.

Example:
If the cut-off for Medicine is 320, only candidates around that score will be admitted.

2. Under Merit
• Everyone is treated equally, regardless of state of origin.
• It is the most competitive category because only the top scorers are picked.

👉 Think of it as a “strict competition” where only the best results win.

3. Catchment Area Admission

This is a special consideration for students from states close to the university.
• It was introduced by the government to ensure fair distribution of education.
• Certain states are officially listed as “catchment states” for each university.

👉 In simple terms: If you’re from a nearby state, you may have a better chance.

4. Under Catchment
• Candidates from catchment states may be admitted with slightly lower scores than those under merit.
• This gives them a small advantage.

👉 It’s still competitive, but not as strict as merit.

Example:
If a university is in Kaduna State, nearby states like Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, Jigawa, and Zamfara may be considered catchment states.
• A student from a catchment state with 250 might gain admission,
• While a student from a non-catchment state may need higher than 250 for the same course.

Simple Summary

KWASU ANNOUNCES 2026/2027 ADMISSION EXERCISE, RELEASES SCREENING GUIDELINES

The management of Kwara State University (KWASU) has officially announced its 2026/2027 undergraduate pre-admission screening exercise, inviting suitably qualified Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) candidates to apply for admission into the institution.
According to information published on the university's admission portal, the online screening registration is scheduled to run from Friday, July 18, 2026, to Sunday, August 17, 2026.

The university stated that the screening exercise is open to:

(A) Candidates who selected KWASU as their first-choice institution during the 2026 UTME registration.

(B) Candidates willing to change their institution to KWASU as first choice through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal before completing the screening registration.

The university further outlined several key requirements:

(A) Candidates must possess at least five relevant O'Level credits obtained in not more than two sittings.
(B) For Medicine and Surgery (MBBS), candidates must present their O'Level results in one sitting only.
(C) Incorrect information supplied during registration may lead to automatic disqualification.
(D) Candidates awaiting results are permitted to apply but must upload their results before the admission process concludes.
