Maryam Dan Azumi's emergence as the Best Female in the International Musabaqah at the 46th Qur'anic Competition in Saudi Arabia comes with many remarkable milestones.

This year marks the first time that females have been allowed to participate in the 60 Hizb Qur'an Tajweed and Tafsir categories. She is therefore the first winner in that category, with an outstanding score of 97.7 points.
She is also a final-year student of Physics Education.

The True Life Story of Mufasa at MCAN Lodge, Ikolaba Estate, Ibadan

Allāhu Akbar…

This cat had three different names at MCAN Lodge, Ikolaba Estate, Ibadan. It was first called Mufasa, later named Zaahid, and finally called Zaahir.

It was a male cat. Its mother was very aggressive and difficult to handle, to the extent that the lodge agreed to throw her out together with her kittens while they were still very young — including this very Mufasa.

At that critical moment, Abu Muhsin accepted Mufasa into the business unit and began to nurture and train it. One of the other kittens was taken away by someone else, while their mother was completely driven away.

During the period of training, Abu Muhsin gave the cat Zaahid, hoping the name would positively influence and refine its attitude. Later on, Sister Aminah, one of the sisters in the lodge, gave it another name — Zaahir.

With time, the cat’s behavior improved remarkably. Because of its calmness and adjusted attitude, many residents of the lodge began to accept it and even developed affection for it.

Recently, however, the cat died!.

There has been controversy surrounding its death. Some said it was poisoned. Others insisted it was a natural death.

But in the end, many concluded: it was simply its appointed time.

It was even buried after its death — a reminder that every living soul, whether human or animal, returns to the earth.

📍This is a lesson for all of us.👂

If care is not taken, this is how death will come — suddenly and unexpectedly — and no one will be able to save us when our appointed time arrives.

If you are not preparing for that Day, then what exactly are you doing?!

Every soul shall taste death. The question is: what are we sending ahead?!

🤲May Allāh forgive our shortcomings before our appointed time comes. May He grant us a good ending (ḥusnul khātimah). May He make our lives meaningful and our deaths honorable. May He not take us except while He is pleased with us. And may He grant us Jannatul-Firdaws without reckoning.🤲
