With insights from our distinguished Guest Speaker, Dr. Amina Ahmed El-Imam, Honourable Commissioner for Health, Kwara State.

Former Minister Visits Al-Hikmah University, Donates Books

The former Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, CON, paid a courtesy visit to Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, where he presented and donated his new book to the university library. The book, titled *“Headlines and Sound Bites: Media Moments That Defined an Administration,”* chronicles key events in the administration of Late President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, that shaped the nation.

The event was attended by the principal officers of the university, as well as senior members of the academic staff and students from various departments.

Speaking at the event, the Vice-Chancellor appreciated the former minister for his thoughtfulness, describing him as a noble son of Igbomina land and one of Nigeria’s shining lights.

Centre for Islamic Heritage hosted the Al-Hikmah Special Islamic Lecture Series.

Title: Nigeria at the Crossroads: Muslims on a Clarion Call.

Hon. Dr. Abdullateef Abdul-Hakeem,
Former Chairman, Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation, Abuja.

In his lecture, he urged Nigerians to fear Allah in every endeavour and to refrain from covering or encouraging wrongdoing.

It was an insightful and impactful session, filled with thought-provoking discussions and timely reflections.
