NAPPS Kwara State Chapter Honours the Emir of Ilorin on His 30 Years of Distinguished Leadership
The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Kwara State Chapter, joyfully felicitates with His Royal Highness, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, the Emir of Ilorin, on the remarkable occasion of his 30th year on the revered throne of his forefathers.
In a goodwill message issued by the State President, Hon. Ishaq Saka Saadu, the Association expressed profound admiration for the Emir’s visionary leadership, humility, and unwavering dedication to the peace, unity, and progress of the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State as a whole.
The statement noted that over the past three decades, His Royal Highness has distinguished himself as a symbol of justice, wisdom, and compassion virtues that have endeared him to his subjects and earned him respect across Nigeria and beyond.
“Under the Emir’s reign, the Ilorin Emirate has continued to experience remarkable social cohesion, educational advancement, and steady development. His exemplary guidance and advocacy for moral discipline have remained a beacon of inspiration to leaders, educators, and the younger generation,” the statement reads in part.
NAPPS Kwara State Chapter also commended the Emir for his consistent support and encouragement of education as a foundation for human and societal development. His Royal Highness’s commitment to learning and enlightenment, the Association added, continues to inspire schools and educational stakeholders across the state.
As the Ilorin Emirate celebrates this historic milestone, NAPPS joins the good people of Kwara State in thanking Almighty Allah for granting the Emir a peaceful and impactful reign. The Association prays that Allah (SWT) will bless His Royal Highness with long life, sound health, and divine wisdom to continue guiding the Emirate in prosperity and harmony.

REPORT ON THE COURTESY VISIT OF THE STATE VICE PRESIDENT I (COMR. BOLAJI DAUD) TO ZONE D
The leadership and members of NAPPS Zone D warmly received the State Vice President I, Comrade Bolaji Daud, on a courtesy visit to the zone.
The visit created an avenue for fruitful discussions on key issues affecting the Association at both State and Zonal levels, as well as ways to strengthen collaboration and enhance effective operations across all zones in the State.
Key Issues and Suggestions Raised
1️⃣ Taxation:
Members expressed concerns over multiple taxation and emphasized the need for continuous engagement with relevant government agencies to ensure a fair and business-friendly tax environment for private schools.
Strengthening of Zones:
Members suggested the need for renewed efforts to strengthen all zones, ensuring active participation at both zonal and state levels. Proposals such as regular communication, empowerment programs, and joint activities were highlighted as ways to boost commitment and inclusiveness.
Delegate System for State Meetings:
The Zone proposed the adoption of a delegate system for State meetings to improve representation, coordination, and cost-effectiveness, while giving each zone a stronger sense of inclusion in state affairs.
VP I’s Response
Comrade Bolaji Daud appreciated the Zone for their warm reception and commitment to the Association’s progress.
He assured members that:
✅ The State leadership will continue its advocacy with relevant authorities to address taxation issues affecting private schools.
✅ Plans are underway to revitalize all zones through improved communication and capacity-building programs.
✅ The delegate system proposal will be tabled before the State Executive Council for consideration and proper implementation.
National Conference Update
The VP I also sensitized members on the upcoming 18th NAPPS National Conference, encouraging Zone D to mobilize and register en masse. He expressed concern that registration from the Zone was yet to be received, emphasizing that Zone D has always been a leading and active Zone in the State.
He appealed for full participation and support to ensure a successful and impactful conference.
Members of Zone D pledged their readiness and commitment to participate actively in the event.

The courtesy visit was indeed productive and inspiring, further strengthening the bond between the State and the Zone. The State leadership remains committed to implementing the suggestions raised and promoting unity, professionalism, and excellence within NAPPS across all zones in Kwara State.

Courtesy Visit to Zone C, Ilorin West (Kwara Central)
The moving train of Comrade Bolaji Daud, Vice President I, Kwara Central, continued its familiarization and courtesy visits across the zones under Kwara Central. The team was yesterday at Zone C, Ilorin West, as part of ongoing engagements aimed at strengthening relationships, fostering unity, and mobilizing support towards the forthcoming NAPPS National Conference scheduled to hold in Ilorin this month.

Issues Raised:
1. The need to address perceived dissonance among different hierarchies within the association.
2. Concerns about multiple taxation and other levies affecting schools.
3. The call for growing and emerging schools to be considered in policy formulation and decision-making.
Responses and Resolutions:
1. The VP I addressed the concerns raised and clarified existing misconceptions within the association.
2. He highlighted various ways the association has been working tirelessly to defend and promote the interests of all members across the state.
3. Members were encouraged to actively participate in the upcoming National Conference.
Comrade Oyeniyi Sulaimanbassured that Zone C members would be fully represented at the event.
He also emphasized the importance and benefits of attending such conferences, reiterating that the ₦25,000 conference fee is a statutory fee that cannot be reduced or discounted as conference fee has never been a State's but National's affair

COURTESY VISITATION TO KWARA CENTRAL ZONES CONTINUES
The courtesy visitation to Kwara Central Zones continued yesterday, Tuesday, 29th October 2025, as the State Vice President I, Comrade Bolaji Daud, led his team to Ilorin South A Zone.
During the visit, the State Vice President I commended the Zonal leadership of the Association for their consistent support of state activities and programs. He reiterated the State Executive’s commitment to defending the interests of members, particularly in relation to various government policies.
Comrade Bolaji also appealed to members of Ilorin South A Zone to reciprocate this commitment by supporting the Association through massive registration and active participation in the forthcoming NAPPS National Conference, scheduled to hold next month.
He further noted that one of the key benefits of attending the National Conference is the opportunity to network with other Proprietors across the country and acquire valuable insights to enhance school management and operations.
In their respective remarks, the State Secretary and State PRO emphasized the importance of active participation in the conference. They encouraged members to support their Zonal Chairperson and Zonal Executives to ensure the zone records an impressive turnout at the event.

COURTESY VISIT TO KWARA NORTH ZONES ON NATIONAL CONFERENCE AWARENESS
In a bid to adequately inform and sensitize members about the forthcoming NAPPS National Conference 2025, the State Vice President III, representing Kwara North and the State Treasurer on a courtesy visitation to both Share and Edu Zones today 29th October, 2025
During the visit, the State VP III relayed the message from the State leadership on the importance of full participation at the national conference, emphasizing that it is a rare opportunity for Kwara State, one that may not return in the next 20years.
He further encouraged members to seize this moment to showcase the unity, strength, and commitment of NAPPS Kwara State to Nuturing For National Development.

Courtesy Visitation to Ilorin West Central
The courtesy visitation continued yesterday, Wednesday, 23rd October 2025, as the moving train made a stop at Ilorin West Central Zone. The delegation was led by the State Vice President I, Comrade Bolaji Daud, who led the team on a visit to his home zone to seek members’ support for the forthcoming National Conference.
Comrade Bolaji Daud and his entourage were warmly received by members of the zone. In his remarks, he appealed for the collective support and mobilization of members towards ensuring the success of the national conference, emphasizing that Ilorin West plays a pivotal role in the association’s leadership structure. He cited notable leaders currently serving from the Zone, including the Kwara State President, Hon. Ishaq Saka Saadu; the National Vice President, Dr. AbdulRahman Adetunji Lateef; the Immediate Past State President and LOC Chairman, Pst. Dr. Temitope Ajibola; and himself, stressing the importance of not letting the Zone down.
The Zonal Chairmen of Zone G and Harmony Zone, on behalf of other Zonal chairmen, also joined in appealing to the members of Ilorin West Central to give their full support and participation at the national conference.
In his address, the State Secretary reiterated the need for Ilorin West to stand firmly behind its “children” who are currently serving at both state and national levels. He encouraged members to ensure massive attendance at the national conference as a show of appreciation and a way of giving back to the Association for the numerous benefits the Zone has continued to enjoy.

Continuation of Courtesy Visitation to Kwara Central (Ilorin South B)
The visitation to Kwara Central continued on Wednesday, 23rd October 2025, as the delegation moved to Ilorin South B Zone. The team, led by the State Vice President I, Comrade Bolaji Daud, included the State Secretary, the State Auditor I (who also serves as the State Representative in the zone), and the Zonal Chairmen of Harmony and Zone G.
The purpose of the visit was to engage members and seek their support for the forthcoming National Conference.
In his remarks, Comrade Bolaji Daud emphasized that the Association is putting mechanisms in place to further strengthen its structure and operations. He advised members that “whenever you are fighting a case in law, you must fight with sense, because there is no ignorance in law.” He urged Ilorin South B members to mobilize fully and participate in the conference, assuring them that they would find real value in their contributions and participation.
Pastor Mommoh, the State Auditor I and State Representative from the Zone, appreciated the members for their continued commitment and assured the State Executives that Ilorin South B would, as always, give its full support to the State during the conference.
The Zonal Chairmen from Harmony and Zone G also addressed the members, calling for unity, sacrifice, and dedication to the growth of the Association. They encouraged members to add value to their businesses and remain steadfast in ensuring that Kwara State is well represented at the national event.
In his closing remarks, the State Secretary expressed gratitude to the zone for their consistent support and appealed for the same level of cooperation towards the success of the upcoming National Conference.

CONTINUATION OF COURTESY VISITATION TO KWARA CENTRAL
The Vice President I, Comrade Bolaji Daud, continued his courtesy visitation to Zone G of Kwara Central on Tuesday, 22nd October 2025.
He was warmly received by the Chairman and members of the zone, and several important matters were deliberated upon particularly concerning the forthcoming National Conference. During the session, the VP I provided valuable insights and addressed various issues raised by members regarding challenges facing the Zone.
He assured them that the State Leadership is working tirelessly to strengthen the association and make it a more inclusive and progressive body for all members. He also used the opportunity to emphasize the importance of the National Conference, encouraging members to participate actively and to leverage the platform to address some of the challenges confronting the zone, given the caliber of dignitaries and stakeholders expected at the event. From the Zone response they suggested a public holiday may be considered for a conference of that magnitude or our midterm be tailored towards it to ensure massive participation.
In addition, the Ilorin West Central Chairman appealed to members of Zone G to support the success of the National Conference, stressing the need for collaboration and the sharing of ideas among colleagues from different states.
The Vice Chairman of Zone C, in his remarks, appreciated all members and request from them to work collaboratively with other zones to ensure a successful and impactful conference, noting that Kwara State is expected to have a strong and commendable representation at the event.

State Courtesy Visit to Harmony Zone.
Yesterday Tuesday, 21st October 2025, the Kwara State Executive of NAPPS, led by the State Vice President I (Kwara Central), Comrade Bolaji Daud, paid a courtesy visit to Harmony Zone to deliberate on pending matters relating to taxes and other pressing issues currently affecting members.
The meeting also served as an avenue to enlighten members on the importance of their active participation in the forthcoming 18th NAPPS National Conference, which will be hosted in Kwara State, a rare privilege that may not occur again in the next 30 years. Members were encouraged to seize this golden opportunity, as many of the challenges confronting school proprietors will be addressed at the conference, with key stakeholders in the education sector expected to be in attendance.
Comrade Bolaji Daud appealed to members to register en masse for the national conference and to offer their maximum support for its success.
In his remarks, the Zonal Chairman of Zone D, who was also present at the meeting, emphasized the need to sustain the cordial relationship between the Zone and the State leadership to ensure continuous progress and unity within the association.
The State Secretary expressed deep appreciation to Harmony Zone for their warm reception and commended their consistent leadership efforts. He further urged members to remain steadfast in their commitment and to give full support to the upcoming national conference.
