Tawakkul Multipurpose Cooperative is an Islamic Cooperative founded upon non-loan principles.

Members should remember that a core service of the Society, which is a primary duty of every member, is SAVINGS.

The benefits of doing your savings regularly include:

1. Your savings give you strong support for consideration of your applications for financing or when subscribing to the Simplepay package

2. Your savings can be used to make payments for goods bought from Tawakkul Store.

3. Your savings can serve as a reliable backup capital ready for withdrawal in the event of any contingency.

4. Without your savings, many more beneficial schemes from the Cooperative may not be easily accessed by you.

5. Your constant savings is the evidence of your status as an active member.

6. Your savings is a guarantee to approach the Cooperative for support

Al-Baqarah 2:275

ٱلَّذِينَ يَأْكُلُونَ ٱلرِّبَوٰا۟ لَا يَقُومُونَ إِلَّا كَمَا يَقُومُ ٱلَّذِى يَتَخَبَّطُهُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ مِنَ ٱلْمَسِّۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَا ٱلْبَيْعُ مِثْلُ ٱلرِّبَوٰا۟ۗ وَأَحَلَّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْبَيْعَ وَحَرَّمَ ٱلرِّبَوٰا۟ۚ فَمَن جَآءَهُۥ مَوْعِظَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ فَٱنتَهَىٰ فَلَهُۥ مَا سَلَفَ وَأَمْرُهُۥٓ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۖ وَمَنْ عَادَ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلنَّارِۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ

Those who consume interest cannot stand [on the Day of Resurrection] except as one stands who is being beaten by Satan into insanity. That is because they say, "Trade is [just] like interest." But Allah has permitted trade and has forbidden interest. So whoever has received an admonition from his Lord and desists may have what is past, and his affair rests with Allah. But whoever returns [to dealing in interest or usury] – those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide eternally therein.
