Srinivasa Ramanujan was a self-taught mathematical genius who made nearly 3,900 original contributions to mathematics, many of which were so advanced they were only proven decades after his death. While primarily a mathematician, his work has laid foundational frameworks for modern science, including theoretical physics and computer science.
