THE MANGO, THE COCONUT AND THE BITTER LEAF
Author Unknown
Listen, my son, your antagonists will increase at every second of your progress, my entrepreneur father said some few years ago.
As he walked through the environment, he said, "Walk with me. I have something to show you."
He went to the mango tree at the backyard, and requested that I pluck a ripe fruit from the tree.
I looked carefully and replied, "Sir, I can't see any ripe one here."
He stared at me for few seconds, this time, my heartbeat increased.
He had actually warned me to be prudent like King Solomon anytime I came close to him because the race is not for the ignorant anymore.
I adjusted my breath for few more seconds, I said again, "Sir, I can't find any ripe MANGO."
Beautiful, he said, with a confident tone. Then he continued, "Nobody will know you when you are not ripe. Nobody will attack you when your glory isn't showing. At this stage, you are like the unripe fruit. Ignored, deserted, overlooked because your fruit is not nutritional.
"Here is your first lesson. Son, don't fight to be seen or noticed, rather work on your fruit to be ripe. It's the nature of human beings to ignore people that are not productive. To be noticed, work more on your seed.
"Come with me, this time."
Then, he took me to another tree, full with ripe fruit.
"Look around here and pluck me two fruit."
I looked critically at the coconut tree, it was tall and uneasy to get, so I carefully took a big stick and hit it from afar, it fell to the ground so loud.
Then I gave the two fruit to him. Then he said,
"Here is it. Son, the more productive you become, the more enemies you attract just like the coconut tree. It's the nature of human beings to come for you because you are ripe. They attack you just like you attacked the coconut tree.
"Don't be moved, it's your right to fulfill destiny no matter the attack on you.
"Keep growing. You are growing for two purposes.
"One, as a shade for those that are helpless to hide and two, as a fruit for those that are hungry to eat from.
"Understand this, your COURSE is beyond the attacker. Grow your lens of reasoning if you will last long as a fruitful tree.
"You see that coconut tree, no matter how many you pluck, it won't dry up because of you. It will keep producing more coconuts. It is because it produces more that makes it relevant in my compound. If not, I would have uprooted it a long time ago.
"Just because your partner betrays your love doesn't stop you from loving someone else. You are productive, and you need to show your commitments as a tree that is fruitful, not as a tree that dries up, because of one person that plucks from it.
"Just because someone defrauds you, is not enough reason not to trust. Trust is part of what makes your tree productive. Keep trusting till it gets you to your breakthrough.
"Just because some people don't like what you do is not enough reason not to like yourself. Be your first admirer. Treat yourself with so much love and respect.
"Nature will command people to take the course of likeness on you.
"See, Son, look at that bitter leaf at the other side of the compound, go and taste it."
I moved a bit and I said, "Sir, I don't really like it."
He smiled and said, "Son, this shows that not everyone will like what you do, but you must never allow that to determine how you grow.
"That bitter leaf is never scared of growing no matter the hatred you have towards it because it knows, one day, you will come looking for it and it will be your only saviour at that time. You will give it all the attention you thought you couldn't give.
"Don't stop growing, Son. When your enemy increases for no reason, pay attention, your success is taking another dimension they can't handle, the effect is dimensional.
"The bitter leaf will attract enemies because of the kind of projection and growth it takes but sooner, it will be the ultimate search for many in few months to come.
"You are an ultimate search for someone tomorrow, so learn to improve your skills of growth today.
"You are not growing to compete with the next person.
"Coconut tree doesn't compete with Apple tree, their seasons of growth and cycles are different. Learn to apply this in your journey in life.
"Your competition is not with someone else. God who kept you on this journey knows when your fruit will ripe, so don't envy others when their fruit is ripe. Season of growth is what matters. Move and grow at your own pace.
"Slowly but surely, your SEASON WILL COME.
"Always remember: the bloodlines of your families are different."

MANDELA
Author Unknown
When Nelson Mandela was studying law at the University, a white professor, whose last name was Peters, disliked him intensely.
One day, Mr. Peters was having lunch at the dining room when Mandela came along with his tray and sat next to the professor.
The professor said, "Mr Mandela, you do not understand, a pig and a bird do not sit together to eat."
Mandela looked at him as a parent would a rude child and calmly replied, "You do not worry professor. I'll fly away," and he went and sat at another table.
Mr. Peters, reddened with rage, decided to take revenge.
The next day in class he posed the following question: "Mr. Mandela, if you were walking down the street and found a package, and within was a bag of wisdom and another bag with money, which one would you take?"
Without hesitating, Mandela responded, "The one with the money, of course."
Mr. Peters, smiling sarcastically said,
"I, in your place, would have taken the wisdom."
Nelson Mandela shrugged and responded, "Each one takes what he doesn't have."
Mr. Peters, by this time was about to throw a fit, seething with fury. So great was his anger that he wrote on Nelson Mandela's exam sheet the word "IDIOT" and gave it to the future struggle icon.
Mandela took the exam sheet and sat down at his desk trying very hard to remain calm while he contemplated his next move.
A few minutes later, Nelson Mandela got up, walked up to the professor and told him in a dignified polite tone,
"Mr. Peters, you signed your name on the sheet, but you forgot to give me my grade."
Don't mess with intelligent people....pass it on to your intellectual friends.

THOSE WHO CROWN KINGS DO NOT LOOK LIKE KINGS; BEWARE !
Author Unknown
There was this poor man who wrote a book at the age of 40 and decided to launch it on his Birthday.
He had no money to fund the launching and so, he decided to seek help from a millionaire in his community.
He made a visit to the Millionaire's home and after they exchanged pleasantries, he told his host what brought him.
The Millionaire told him to take out a piece of paper and pen.
He said, "I will give you a test. If you pass it, I will give you the money you need and if you fail, I will still give you the money."
He then told him to write down the names of 10 people who could give him 10k each for his book during the launch.
Surprisingly, the man could not write even 3 names.
Now, take a glass of water and let me tell you something.
It is not enough to have talent and skills. You must understand the power of building valuable relationship.
It was a wise man that said, "your network is directly proportional to your net worth."
Relationship is a currency.
Relationship is a stream of income. Everything in this life actually reproduces on the basis of relationship.
See eh, who likes you in this life matters.
Men are lifted through men.
Many of us are talented but we lack a cup bearer to tell the King that there is a Joseph who can interpret dreams.
Who you know matters a lot in this life. Don't say it doesn't matter. It does.
There are heights and opportunities you will never attain if you don't understand the power of Keeping Valuable Relationships.
When they say, turn and greet your neighbour in church/mosque or at any gathering at times, you don't even know who you are talking to.
That might be the CEO of a company. But sometimes, we despise people based on their outward looks and judge them wrongly.
Have this wisdom am sharing with you.
That person you sit with in class, or the colleagues at work or the group members that you look down on, may be the ones that will lead you to your destiny helper because you have no idea who they know.God uses men to help humanity.
Sometimes, it takes just a recommendation to change your story.
Don't despise men in Life. You will need them one day.
Sometimes those who crown Kings don't look like kings and may never become kings but they can help you wear the crown.
Again, shut the door of relationship gently you may need to use it tommorow.
It is observable that the cost of maintaining a relationship/network is lesser that losing it.
Do have a wonderful day.
