ILOBU YOUTH ASSEMBLY CELEBRATES HER MEMBERS CALLED TO THE NIGERIAN BAR TODAY, 22ND APRIL 2025

With immense joy, unshakable pride, and hearts filled with gratitude to the Almighty, the Ilobu Youth Assembly joyfully celebrates a historic moment in the lives of three of our own — Alase Sodiq Babatunde, Amusan Tawfiiq Olalekan, and Odewale Qowiyyullahi Tope — as they are officially called to the Nigerian Bar today, the 22nd of April, 2025.

This feat is not just a personal achievement but a proud testament to the indomitable spirit of the Ilobu Youth — a spirit rooted in perseverance, excellence, and integrity. These young and vibrant minds have demonstrated that with unwavering dedication, fierce determination, and the grace of God, the dreams we carry within us can become realities the world will celebrate.

Their journey is one of discipline and sacrifice — a journey that mirrors the words of Thomas Jefferson:

“The most valuable of all talents is that of never using two words when one will do — for a lawyer’s strength lies in clarity, wisdom, and justice.”

We are proud to see Barristers Alase Sodiq, Amusan Tawfiiq, and Odewale Qowiyyullahi rise as ambassadors of justice, advocates of peace, and voices for the voiceless. The Law profession is not just a calling; it is a mission — and today, these sons of Ilobu step into this noble path with elegance, brilliance, and humility.

It’s unfortunate that Ifon-Orolu Concern Indigenes would resort to spreading misinformation instead of seeking the truth. The event captured in the video was an act of humanitarian assistance to displaced victims of the communal clashes—people who have lost their homes and livelihoods, not a violation of any curfew because the event didn't take place in Ilobu.

Rather than raising false alarms, energy should be channeled toward fostering peace and supporting those in distress. Deliberate misrepresentation of facts does more harm than good, and we urge relevant authorities to hold accountable those who engage in such reckless and divisive narratives. The truth always prevails.

Kindly note for the avoidance of doubt, the event took place at the outskirt of Ilobu, and this place has been visited by journalists from various outlets.
