Following the spate of insecurity across the country, Management of the Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa has taken proactive steps to ensure the safety of lives and properties of both staff and students on campus.

Among Steps taken to beef-up security and ensure that both staff and students of the College are safe, the institution has engaged the services of a security expert as the Chief Security Officer who will henceforth see to the overall security of the College.

In view of this, both students and staff of the College are henceforth required to submit themselves for security checks, as well as follow some new security protocols which have been rolled out by the College.

According to an internal memo signed by the Registrar of the College, Mr Moshood Afolabi, both staff and students must ensure that they present their identification card for checks at the main entrance of the College, else they won't be allowed on campus.

The memo stated further that all vehicles entering the College will henceforth be properly screened and given a security tag before being allowed to drive in and such security tags must be submitted back to the security personnel at the gate before being allowed to drive out.

It added that motorcycles, unregistered vehicles, obstructed number plates and anybody with face masks shall no longer be allowed into the College premises.

The memo reads in parts, "In a bid to ensure security of lives and properties, the College has employed a Chief Security Officer (CSO) whose responsibility is in charge of the overall security of the College.

"It is now mandatory for all motorists to collect security tag at the College main entrance before entering the College and the tag must be equally submitted while leaving the College to control inflow.

"Vehicles entering the College would be properly screened by the College Security Personnel in orde to control miscreants and unscrupulous elements. Henceforth, motorcycles, unregistered vehicles, obstructed number plates ang anybody with face mask shall not be allowed to enter College premises.

"College's Staff and Students must put on their Identity Cards within the College for proper dentification. Any Student who fails to put on the school uniforms and 1.D card would be sent back at the College entrance gate".

This is to inform applicants who obtained the application form for admission into various courses at the Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa, that the first batch of entrance examination will come up on the 23rd of July, 2026 at 8am prompt.

Kindly note that the *venue of the examination is the Adeleke University CBT Center, Ede, Osun State* and applicants are expected to come to the venue with a printed copy of their registration form as identification.

The general public are to also note that the sales of application form continues after the first batch of exams as the date for subsequent examinations will be announced.

OSCO-HEALTH Ilesa Fixes July 23rd for First Batch of Entrance Examination for 2026/2027 Admissions

The Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa has fixed Thursday, July 23, 2026, for the first batch of its entrance examination for candidates seeking admission into various programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

According to a Public Service Announcement issued by the institution, the examination will be held at the Adeleke University CBT Centre in Ede, Osun State, beginning promptly at 8:00 a.m.

The announcement was signed by the Registrar of the College, Moshood Afolabi, and made available to journalists in Ilesa on Wednesday through the College Public Relations Officer, Kingsley Omoyeni.

The College advised all applicants who purchased admission forms for the academic session to attend the examination at the designated venue on the scheduled date and time.

Candidates were also directed to present a printed copy of their registration form, which will serve as identification for clearance into the examination hall.

The institution stated that only applicants with the required registration documents would be granted access to the examination venue.

The Registrar disclosed that the sale of application forms remains open for prospective candidates who are still interested in seeking admission into the College.

He explained that additional entrance examinations would be organised for applicants who obtain forms after the first batch, with the dates to be announced later.

Part of the statement read: “This is to inform applicants who obtained the application form for admission into various courses at the Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa, that the first batch of entrance examination will come up on the 23rd of July, 2026 at 8am prompt.”

The sharp reflexes of goal keeper, Lanre Agbeleye in post was a major factor as ASUP ran away 2 nill winners against NASU in the Novelty Match organised as part of activities marking the 2026 Worker's Day celebrations of the Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa.

It was a cracker of a game as spectators were treated to the best of football in the match between ASUP and NASU, OSCO-HEALTH Chapters which was played at the football pitch of the health training institution.

Lanre Agbeleye, the ASUP shot stopper became busy and stood between NASU and goal right from the first 5 minutes of the tough encounter saving all the shots on target by the NASU strikers led by Moshood Afolabi and Adewale Adebayo.

The NASU forward lines started mounting pressure on the defence of ASUP from the blast of the whistle, with Moshood Afolabi the tormentor in chief dribbling the defence before firing a shot parried into corner by the keeper.

ASUP were left with very few chances as the NASU midfield marshaled by Sodiq Tahiru stood in check for the striking force of ASUP led by Musibau Adebiyi and Sunday Adebayo giving them no space to operate.

However, the deadlock was broken in the 23rd minute as the defence line of NASU was breached and beaten for the first time in the game when Busayo Adebusoye played a through ball to Sunday Abioye who found the top corner of the NASU net to make it 1-0.

After falling behind, NASU came roaring and throwing everything at the goal mouth of ASUP, but the goalkeeper, Lanre Agbeleye was at his brilliant best as he stood like a rock of gilbratter saving every shot on target.

NASU came into the second half of the fiesty encounter much stronger with a determination to level up the scores, but Lanre Agbeleye who put up a "Man of the Match" performance was not ready to allow anything go into his net as he made a fine save to deny Sodiq Tahiru who fired a free kick at goal in the 53rd minute.

After soaking the pressure for about 13 minutes into the second half, ASUP got their second goal through a counter attack, a quick one two between Fred and Sunday Abioye stretched the defence line of NASU allowing Busayo Adebusoye to find the bottom corner after beating a defender for the second goal in the 64th minute.

As the game wore on, fatigue began to set in for the ASUP team as substitutions were made to bring in Olayemi Bello and Jide Falola who came in for Joseph Ojesola and Sunday Adebayo in the game which eventually ended 2 nil in favour of ASUP.

Speaking shortly after the exciting game, the College Provost, Dr Lateef Olarewaju Raheem appreciated the organisers of the game, while also commending the team spirit of players of both sides during the match.

As part of activities marking the 2026 Worker's Day celebrations, the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics(ASUP) and the Non Academic Staff Union(NASU), Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa Chapters will tomorrow trade tackles in a friendly football match.

Both teams will lock horns at the football pitch of the College by 10 in the morning with the College Provost, Dr Lateef Olarewaju Raheem expected to perform the official kick-off of the game.

This is contained in Memo signed by the Registrar of the institution, Mr Moshood Afolabi and made available to newsmen in Ilesa on Wednesday.

Some of the players for NASU include: Moshood Afolabi, Olaleye Olayinka, Kareem Imran, Adewale Adebayo, Ojolo Olusegun, Olabisi Olusegun, Mathew Adepoju, Sulaiman Erinjogunola, Segun Babatunde among others, while the ASUP team is made of Rasheed Kolawole, Olayemi Bello, Muftau Bello, Sunday Adebayo, Musibau Adebiyi, Simeon Adenrele, Jide Falola, Nasiru Omoniyi, Micheal Rotimi, Joseph Ojesola among others.

The ASUP Chairman, Comrade Ayo Ogungbe is expected to lead his team while his counterpart, the NASU Chairman, Engr. Ajayi Taiwo will lead the NASU team to the much talked about and anticipated encounter.

Speaking shortly after their training sessions, captains of both teams, Ayo Ogungbe and Ajayi Taiwo both promised spectators of a thrilling game of football, stressing that both teams are star studded and are ready to play.

Meanwhile, spectators and fans are hoping that the game will live up to its billing as both teams are determined to win the game which is expected to be watched by a mammoth crowed including the Provost and students of the institution.

One goal in each half by Oloyede Waris and Abiola Micheal was all the boys from the School of Environmental Health Technology needed to retain their status as Champions of the annual Provost Cup of Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa.

It was the climax of the competition which started about 4 weeks ago at the sports arena of the college and the game lived up to the expectation of a final.

Environmental Health Technology squared up against their opponents from the School of Public Health and spectators including the Provost of the College, Dr Lateef Olarewaju Raheem were thrilled to the best of football actions.

It was a cagey first 30 minutes as both teams played with caution. However, the deadlock was broken in the 32nd minute of the first half when Oloyede Waris got the opening goal through a goal mouth scramble and the first half ended 1-0.

The boys from the School of Public Health started the second half stronger but the Environmental Health Technology boys defended their goal before Abiola Micheal shot into the top corner of the net after displacing the goalkeeper to make it 2-0.

In the female final, the
School of Public Health defeated School of Dental Therapy 4-1 on penalties after a very tight game which ended goalless.

Earlier in the day, a novelty match was played between the lecturers in the institution under ASUP led by Comrade Ayo Ogungbe and a team led by the AGS, NANS Southwest Zone D, Comrade Josiah Adeyemo(BillionCodes) which ended 1-1.

Speaking while presenting the trophy and medals to the players, Provost of the College, Dr Lateef Olarewaju Raheem congratulated them for the victory, while urging them to be modest in their celebrations.

The Provost commended the organisers of the competition for a job well done.

The game was watched by a full capacity of the students led by the Students Union President, Comrade Badru Rohees Olawale.

The Chairman, Governing Board of the Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa, Hon. Abayomi Adegoke has felicitated with Christians and the entire College community on the occasion of the Easter celebrations.

Hon. Adegoke in a message of felicitation made available to newsmen through the College P.R.O, Kingsley Omoyeni urged all and sundry to embrace the spirit of love, unity and selfless service that the season represents, while charging them to work together to move the institution forward.

The Council Chairman prayed for the entire College community as well as staff and students that God should preserve everyone to witness many more Easter celebrations in good health and sound mind.

Hon. Abayomi's message of felicitation reads in parts, "As we celebrate the joy and victory of Easter, i extend warm greetings to the entire Governing Council, Management, Staff, Students and the wider community of Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa.
