In the Name of Allah(God), the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
A Letter of Gratitude and Renewal to Our Alma Mater
We return today not as strangers, but as children returning to the house that raised us. We walk these corridors not with pride of achievement, but with humility of memory. For it was here, under this roof and these trees, that our minds were first awakened and our dreams first given permission to breathe.
Dear Students, Teachers, and Custodians of This Institution, Years ago, we sat where you now sit.
We carried books with torn covers. We wrote with pens that ran dry. We endured the heat of classrooms with no fans, the uncertainty of whether our efforts would ever be seen beyond these gates. Yet this school taught us more than subjects. It taught us resilience. It taught us discipline. It taught us that dignity is not found in comfort, but in striving. Today, Allah(God) has blessed some of us with the means to give back.
And so we bring to you these exercise books and pens — small in weight, but heavy in meaning.
They are a reminder that someone remembers. That someone cares. That someone believes that the child holding this pen today may one day hold the pen that signs laws, heals the sick, or builds bridges. But this act would not be possible without those who sacrificed their time to be here with us today. To every brother, sister, and friend who left your work, your home, and your rest to stand under this sun for children you may never meet again, we see you, and we thank you. In a world where many only give when it is convenient, we chose to give when it was needed. In a time when many only remember their alma mater in words, we chose to remember it in action. We are the bridge between intention and impact. We are the reason this promise will not end today, but will continue tomorrow.
May Allah reward our time, protect our families while we were away, and open doors for us the way we have opened doors for these students today.
Let this not be the end. Let this be the beginning.
We pledge, by the will of Allah(God), to do more for this school. More in infrastructure — that the walls may be strong and the roofs may not leak when the rain falls. More in learning materials — that no child should sit idle for lack of a textbook.
More in support — that no brilliant mind should drop out for lack of fees. Our alma mater shaped us. It is now our duty to shape its future.
And to those who have not yet joined this journey we call you.The door remains open. The need remains urgent. The reward with Allah is eternal.
Do not wait until you have abundance to give. Give from what you have now, and Allah will increase it.
Join us in time. Stand with us in purpose. Let us rebuild together the school that built us.
To the students:
Hold fast to your books. Guard your time. Honor your teachers. The cap and gown you dream of are not given — they are earned through sacrifice and patience. The world will not hand you success. You must take it with knowledge, character, and prayer.
Remember that one day, you too will return to this place — not as students, but as givers.
To the teachers and staff:
We see your labor. We see your patience. We see your sacrifice that often goes unnoticed.
You are the unsung builders of this nation. For every child you teach, you shape the future of this country.
May Allah strengthen your hands and reward you for every letter you teach and every child you guide.
To our Alma Mater:
You are not just buildings and blackboards. You are memory. You are identity. You are home.
We will not forget you. We will not abandon you. We will return, again and again, until you stand as tall as the dreams you planted in us.
May Allah(God) bless this school. May Allah bless its students. May Allah bless those who give and those who receive. May Allah bless and reward abundantly all those who sacrificed their time to be present here today. May He make this act of charity and sacrifice for all of us.
Ameen.
