Topic:Walking the glory road.
Text: psalm 30:1-12.
Joy,we are saying,is one of the chief characteristics of a christain,and yet sadly so many believers know nothing of it.
This is great hindrance to our witness.
The Greek word chara translated 'joy' is a robust word .it is not resignation wearing a wan smile. The Joy spoken of is exuberant and overflowing .
Also,Joy is the distinctive atmosphere of the christain life.
The summons to rejoice is sounded no less than seventy times in the New Testament, and the chara occurs close on sixty times.Joy is always present in the heart of a christain.
Prayer point:Father ,thank You for reminding me that when joy has its root in You then its fruits will eventually appear-no matter what happens.All glory and honor be to your name.amen.

Topic-always a reason to rejoice.
Text - psalm 105: 1-15.
Now we move on to consider the second fruit of the spirit- joy.
It is not by accident that joy follows love because joy is a by product of love .if you concentrate on finding joy it will elude you.
But if you concentrate on finding love then joy will seek you out- you will automatically be joyful.we cannot produce it,it appears in our lives as we allow the Holy spirit to work within us.
A grim christain said,'at the heart of our faith is a cross.this means we ought to be spending our time weeping,not laughing' .well,it is true that the cross is at the heart of the christain faith and that following Christ involves rigorous self- denial and sometimes weeping ,but,this must be set against the fact that second fruit of the spirit is Joy.
If there is no joy in our lives then we ought to question if Christ really does live in us and if we are allowing the spirit to work in our hearts. Joy,like love,is the essence of our faith .the empty tomb takes away our empty gloom .we have an Easter morning to celebrate in our faith, and that means there is always a reason to rejoice.those who can sing in the face of death can sing in the face of everything.
PRAYER POINT:lord touches my life at the deepest level,thus i can be glad even when i am sad.Amen

Today's topic:-unconditional love.(2 cor 5: 11-21)
what exactly does scripture mean it uses the word 'love'?.love different meaning by scholars or thinkers.buh love is used for the mighty passion that moves in the heart of God buh it is used also in connection with such things as the fluttering of the adolescent heart in spring, an extramarital affair,or even a homosexual relationship .the word love has to cover multiplicity of diverse meanings.
The Greek language is much richer in this respect,it has classification words for love,
1- eros,meaning love between the sexes
2-philia,meaning affectionate human love.
3-storge,meaning family love
4-agape - meaning unconditional love.
Agape love the unconditional love it implies how purity and natural entity.
This love surges in the heart of God.everything God does is motivated by love.love is the controlling factor, compare (john 3:16) ,in Galatians 5;22 Paul says ' the fruit of the spirit is love.
The love we are expected to experience and demonstrate when we are indwelt by the spirit is not a general kind of love buh love of a specific kind- the love which surges in the heart if God and is seen exemplified in Jesus.
In today's text Paul says,'For Christ's love compels us'.this dig deep,it is possible to be compelled by the love of achievements, success ,even a fight .
I ask: what compels you-the love of a cause or the love of Christ ?
We need to embrace love in Christ.

Today's morning topic:THE PRIMACY OF LOVE:(I CORINTHIANS 13:1-13
The first fruit of the spirit is ' LoVE' . Love is the chief distinguishing mark of a child of God.some regard the chief mark of a Chris as faith. But today's reading ways that even if we have faith that can move mountains buh do not have love then we are nothing.others say that truth is the greatest distinguishing mark of a Chris .
Paul's say in gal 5:22 of love as the first fruit of the spirit fits in with his teaching here in 1 cor 13.love is greater than everything else- power,faith,service,and so on..if we study vs 5 concisely is linked somewhere with this quality of supernatural love.every other fruit proceed from this first fruit of love .Notime the connection:
love is patient-patience
love is kind- kindness
love does not envy-goodness
love does not boast and is not proud-gentleness
love is not self seeking and is not easily angered-self control and peace.
love rejoices with the truth-joy.
Love always protects, always hopes,always perseveres- faithfulness.
Once we have love,we have all the fruit of the spirit and vice versa .
Prayer: dear father, help me always be open to You so that love- Your love-may grow and be seen in me.

Today's topics: AS FRUIT IN AN ORCHARD'. GAL:13-26.AND BECOMING A BETTER PERSON...John 15: 12 -17.
Today we beginning a detailed study of the fruit of the spirit- the nine qualities which go to make up christain character.God brings gifts into our lives,much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard-things like affection for others, exuberance about life,serenity.we develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart and a convictions that a basic holiness permeates things and people .we find ourselves involved in loyal commitments,notneeding to force our way in life,able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.
The church of Jesus Christ would be transformed in term of relationships if every christain manifested the nine Qualities in the passage read.we would not need to pray for revival because the wonderful signs of revival would already be apparent.peopleof the world would come knocking at our door wanting to learn how to live:
prayer point-father give us a fresh vision and desire to manifest in our life every characteristic of the fruit of the spirit so that more of Jesus may seen in us.in His name we pray. Amen
