To the glory of God, the STESA Prayer & Fasting Meeting themed “Mantle for Excellence” was successfully held on Saturday, 16th May 2026 at The Apostolic Church, Aba Road, Ikot Osurua.

The program was indeed impactful and spiritually uplifting as students gathered in unity to seek God’s face through prayers, worship, exhortation, and intercession. Lives were blessed, hearts were revived, and participants were greatly encouraged toward spiritual and academic excellence.

I sincerely appreciate the Guest Minister, Pst. Saviour David, my SA on Religious Matters, Evang. Ediomo Jacob, the students most friendly lecturer Hon. Shedrach Allen for his word of advice to the students during the prayer meeting, all the STESA executives and every participant who contributed to the success of the program.

Indeed, God moved mightily, and all glory belongs to Him alone.

STESA sincerely appreciates every student, volunteer, and supporter who participated in today’s Clean Force Exercise. Your commitment, hard work, and cooperation made the exercise productive and successful. Your presence and contribution showed that together we can build a cleaner, greener, and healthier STESA community.

Special appreciation goes to the STESA Executives, class representatives, and all individuals who assisted in coordinating the exercise smoothly, your efforts did not go unnoticed.
May we continue to uphold the spirit of unity, service, and environmental responsibility. Together, we will keep STESA clean and green.

Earlier today, I led Science Technology Students Association (STESA), alongside executives and appointees to pay a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Head of Department of Science Technology to officially congratulate him on his appointment.

During the visit, the association presented an official portrait to the Head of Department as a symbol of appreciation, respect, and support for his new office. The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere, reflecting the unity and commitment of both the department and the student association toward the growth of the department.

In his response, the Head of Department expressed his gratitude to the leadership and members of STESA for finding him worthy of the congratulatory visit and the presentation of the gift. He commended the leadership of the Science Technology Students Association for their sense of responsibility and organization.

Furthermore, he urged all the executives to prioritize building and maintaining a good reputation both academically and morally. He also advised us to take our studies seriously and continue promoting the good image and values of STESA within and outside the institution. He assured the association of his continuous support and promised to work towards improving and strengthening the STESA brand.

In my remarks, I appreciated the Head of Department for warmly receiving the delegation in his office despite his busy schedule. I also appreciated the Students’ Adviser of STESA for his fatherly guidance, support, and valuable advice towards the progress of the association.

The visit ended successfully with mutual understanding, appreciation, and renewed commitment towards academic excellence and the development of the department and the association.

The STESA Friendly Match at the Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic football pitch was a great success, bringing together students in the spirit of unity, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The event was filled with excitement as both ND1 and ND2 teams displayed impressive talent, determination, and passion on the field, making the day memorable for everyone present.

In the girls’ match, the ND1 Girls secured a well-deserved 1:0 victory over the ND2 Girls after an outstanding performance and strong coordination throughout the game. The boys’ match was equally intense and entertaining, ending in a dramatic penalty shootout where the ND1 Boys emerged victorious with a 3:2 win, showing confidence and composure under pressure. Congratulations to all the teams for their efforts and sportsmanship.

Special appreciation goes to our respected lecturer, Hon. Shedrach Allen, for honoring the event with his presence, encouragement, and support throughout the match. Your presence motivated the students and added great value to the success of the program. I also sincerely appreciate my Sport Director, Comr Faith Asuquo Jackson, for the dedication, planning, and hard work put into organizing such a successful and peaceful event.

Finally, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all STESA EXCOS who came around, officials, supporters, and every student who came out to cheer and support the teams. Your energy, cooperation, and participation made the event lively and unforgettable. Together, we continue to promote unity, friendship, and excellence through sports.
