2022 CHRISTMAS BREAK

I am directed to inform all students of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic Ikot Osurua that, the 2022 Christmas Holiday commences from Thursday 22nd December, 2022 to Monday 2nd January, 2023.

This is to enable all the students celebrate Christmas and the New Year respectively.

Consequently, all students are by this Circular requested to proceed on the break.

Normal academic activities will commence on Tuesday 3rd January, 2023 after the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Management wishes all students a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

Following the recent happenings in the Nations Labour Community (Nigerian Labour Congress), which threatened to embark on a two (2) day Protest in solidarity for the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), there have been speculations of public holidays on Tuesday 26th July, 2022 and Wednesday, 27th July 2022, among the students, which are all FALSE and Not TRUE.

Consequently, the Directorate have consulted the school Management to know if any of these activities will hinder/distract academic activites in the polytechnic community and the response is negative.

Prior to this, the Polytechnic operations will continue as usual, Lectures, Examination and every other academic activities will continue as earlier scheduled.

Give this Information its widest publicity.
