Exploring the Riches of Our Heritage!
On February 13th, 2025, our students embarked on an exciting excursion to the National Museum, Lagos!
This educational trip was designed to broaden our students' knowledge and appreciation of Nigerian history, culture, and art. The National Museum, with its vast collection of artifacts and exhibits, provided the perfect platform for our students to learn about the country's rich cultural heritage.
During the excursion, our students had the opportunity to see and learn about various aspects of Nigerian history, including:
The Nok Terracotta artifacts, which dated back to 500 BC
The Benin Empire's intricate bronze plaques
The Hausa City-States' ancient architectural designs
The museum's collection of Nigerian art, showcasing the works of renowned artists
The excursion was not only informative but also interactive, with our students participating in guided tours, workshops, and hands-on activities.
We believe that experiential learning experiences like this excursion are essential for our students' cognitive, social, and emotional development. By exploring the National Museum, our students gained a deeper understanding of Nigeria's diverse cultural heritage and developed essential skills in critical thinking, observation, and teamwork.
We're grateful to the National Museum, Lagos, for providing our students with this enriching experience. We're also proud of our students for their curiosity, enthusiasm, and excellent behavior throughout the excursion!
