Many people think that education is attending countless excellent schools or obtaining high-grade degrees, but self-education is the essence of this highly developing world. Having a degree is a great achievement but most of the things we need to succeed in this world are not taught in schools.

Tips to help Make your CV Appealing
𝟏. 𝐃𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: Generic statements are hard to be supported with evidence. For example, do not mention that you are hard-working. Instead, you can say that I worked on a project for 6 months, which resulted in a research paper.
𝟐. 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Your educational degree presents you in a generic way. For example, having a master's in computer science is too broad. Instead, do mention your specialization areas such as cyber security, machine learning, NLP, etc. Mention it as your research or core expertise.
𝟑. 𝐀𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐝 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐲 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬: Some people try to extend their CV unnecessarily. This gives a negative impression. Avoid using double line spaces unless really needed.
𝟒. 𝐀𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐝 𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐬: CV should be concise and to the point. Having large paragraphs in a CV makes it boring to walk through. Instead of paragraphs, better use bullet points.
𝟓. 𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐡𝐲𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐬: Use as many hyperlinks in your CV as possible. You can hyperlink the name of your university, the conference you attended, the competition you won, and so on. This helps the assessor to quickly check the mentioned source.
𝟔. 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐲 𝐚𝐬 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞: It's much easy to understand and assess if it's in numbers. Instead of mentioning that you worked on several projects in your bachelor's, better mention that you worked on 12 projects during your bachelor's.
𝟕. 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬: Several people find it easy to assess your profile on an already familiar platform such as Google Scholar, LinkedIn, Research Gate, GitHub, and so on. So, it's always good to include the links to your external profiles at the top of your CV.
𝟖. 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬: While soft skills such as leadership and presentation skills are important, it's mostly the hard skills that you will be mostly assessed for during the interview. So, it's better to mention them in your CV and get them refreshed before the interview.
