VACANCY FOR THE POSITIONS OF ACCOUNTANT AND DEPUTY REGISTRAR

Ikirun College of Health Technology, Ikirun, Osun State, invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced and result-oriented candidates for appointment to the following positions:
1. ACCOUNTANT
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective financial management and accounting services to the College, including financial reporting, budgeting, expenditure control, revenue monitoring, preparation of financial statements and ensuring compliance with applicable financial regulations and institutional policies.

Requirements:
* Candidates must possess a good University Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline from a recognised institution.Relevant post-qualification experience in accounting, preferably within a tertiary institution or public-sector organisation.
* Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in modern accounting practices, financial management and relevant computer applications.
* Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, ANAN or equivalent will be an added advantage.
* Must be a person of proven integrity, sound judgement and strong administrative ability.

2. DEPUTY REGISTRAR
The successful candidate will assist in the effective administration of the College and support the Registrar in the coordination of academic, administrative, personnel and other institutional functions as may be assigned.

Requirements:
* Candidates must possess a good University Degree from a recognised institution.
* Relevant postgraduate or professional qualification will be an added advantage.
* Considerable administrative experience, preferably in a tertiary institution or comparable organisation.
* Demonstrable competence in records management, personnel administration, policy implementation and institutional correspondence.
* Excellent communication, leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills.
* Must be a person of proven integrity, discretion and sound administrative judgement.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

RECTOR WELCOMES NEWLY ADMITTED STUDENTS, URGES COMMITMENT TO ACADEMIC SUCCESS

Dear Newly Admitted Students,
It gives me great pleasure, on behalf of the Management, Academic Board and entire staff of Ikirun College of Health Technology, to warmly welcome you to the College as you begin this important chapter of your academic journey.

First and foremost, I congratulate you on your admission. Gaining admission into a tertiary institution is a significant achievement, and I encourage you to appreciate the opportunity you have been given. Your admission is not only an opportunity to obtain a certificate; it is an opportunity to acquire knowledge, develop practical skills, build character and prepare yourselves for meaningful careers in the health sector.

As you resume, I want you to understand that you are entering a new environment where greater responsibility, discipline and commitment will be expected from you. The College will provide you with the academic support, qualified lecturers, practical training and conducive learning environment you need, but your success will ultimately depend on your attitude and commitment.

I urge you to take your academic work seriously from the very beginning. Attend lectures and practical sessions regularly, complete your assignments on time, read widely and do not hesitate to ask questions whenever you need clarification.

Do not wait until examinations are approaching before you begin to study. Develop good study habits, manage your time properly and remain consistent throughout the semester.

As students of a College of Health Technology, you are preparing for professions that directly affect human lives. Whether you are studying Community Health Technology, Public Health Technology, Health Education and Promotion, Health Information Management or any other programme, you must understand that competence and professionalism are essential.

Your goal should not be simply to pass examinations, but to become knowledgeable, skilled and responsible professionals who can be trusted to serve society.

Let me also emphasise the importance of discipline. The College has rules and regulations established to ensure a peaceful and productive environment for teaching and learning. You are expected to familiarise yourselves with these rules and comply with them.

Avoid examination malpractice, cultism, violence, bullying, harassment, drug abuse, destruction of College property and other forms of misconduct. Do not allow peer pressure or temporary distractions to jeopardise your future.

Respect your lecturers, members of staff and fellow students. Learn to communicate respectfully and conduct yourselves responsibly both within and outside the College.

Remember that your behaviour contributes to the image of this institution. From today, you are ambassadors of Ikirun College of Health Technology.

As new students, you will meet people from different backgrounds and with different interests. Choose your friends carefully. Associate with people who encourage you to study, improve yourself and maintain good conduct.

My dear students, the journey you are beginning today will require discipline, patience, hard work and perseverance.

I encourage you to dream big, work hard and remain humble. Respect yourselves, respect others and respect the rules of the College.
