*IT IS NOT OVER YET...*

I wish to express my profound gratitude to Mr. Olorunsomo Clement for dispelling a long-standing misconception—that once the requisite funds for immediate needs are secured, further contributions are rendered unnecessary.

Thank you, sir, for so astutely discerning my thoughts.

Esteemed colleagues, I have been contemplating since yesterday the necessity of imploring all of us, particularly the Sets and those individuals who have yet to make their contributions, to continue turning in their own contributions. There are numerous projects awaiting implementation within our esteemed Alma Mater.

Thus, the contribution exercise is far from over. I urge the Sets that are yet to fulfil their financial obligations to continue contributing, while those members within these Sets who have not yet participated should likewise remit their contributions to their collective fund for subsequent disbursement to the Association’s account.

Once more, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Clement for his unwavering commitment to the advancement of our institution. May God bless you, bless all of us, and bless AUD Comprehensive High School, Ikere-Ekiti.

Dear Esteemed Alumni,

I hope this message finds you in great spirits and reflecting fondly on the time we spent at Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ikere-Ekiti. The foundation laid during those formative years was instrumental in shaping who we are today—the values we hold dear and the drive to make a difference. It is this cherished connection that brings us together now, as we rally to give back to the institution that gave us so much.

We find ourselves at a pivotal moment in our school’s history, with a remarkable opportunity to channel our gratitude into a project that will have profound and lasting impacts on the lives of current and future students. We kindly request the support of every graduating set from 1985 to 2024 to contribute a *nominal sum of N25,000.00* by the conclusion of August 2025. Your support, no matter how big or small, will be instrumental in turning this vision into reality.

The Computer Laboratory Project is on the verge of completion, yet we still stand at a crucial junction where just ₦500,000 is required to fully realize our objective: a *State-of-the-Art Computer Laboratory* equipped with 50 desktop computers. Imagine the sense of pride that will swell within us as we walk into that lab and behold the inscription: *“Donated by AUD Old Students”*. This moment symbolizes not just our generosity, but our enduring commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for the generations that follow.

This initiative goes far beyond merely providing computers; it is about opening new doors of opportunity for our students. It’s about endowing them with essential digital skills that are paramount in today's world, allowing them to compete and excel in an increasingly technology-driven society. More importantly, it is about leaving a legacy that speaks to our dedication, unity, and belief in the transformative power of education.

I want to sincerely appreciate and commend those of us who have magnanimously contributed something towards this cause. Only the Almighty can reward you abundantly. May He continue to strengthen you and replenish your pockets with abundant blessings.

I also want to enjoin those of us who are still contemplating and planning to contribute to hasten up and make their own contributions as soon as possible.

You therefore owe it something.

Good evening my dear colleagues and fellow alumni.

I'm so sorry I've not been able to give updates on the Computer Room project for a while now. This is due to my tight schedules domestically, officially and spiritually

I had asked one of us, who's an ICT person, (@⁨Ayodeji Oseni Bakare Old Student⁩) to go to the school to see what he could do. He reportedly met the computer teacher who complained about the standard of the furniture the Principal was trying to do for the Computer Room. He therefore advised that we need to meet with the teacher to know the desired standard.

I was therefore personally at the school last week Tuesday to assess the situation of things myself. And I was lucky to meet the electrician at the school. I also asked the principal to summon the furniture maker.

After some discussion, we all together with the furniture maker that what they were planning, though economical, would not befit the Computer Room.

There was also the observation by both the furniture maker and the Computer teacher that even the standard one constructed in Irepodun High School will slack with time and will start to shake because there are no braces or covering at the back.

We therefore asked the furniture maker to give us a design that would be a combination of wood and metal that would be durable (because we're dealing with students). And he gave us the drawing and estimates as seen below.

𝗢𝗟𝗗 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦' 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

I was called on Tuesday, February 29, 2024 by the Principal of our Alma Mater, Mrs. Olakorode. She briefed me about the new developments in the school.

There are lots of new developments amongst which are:

1. A solar system has just been installed in the school to supply the whole school with uninterrupted electricity;

2. There is ongoing renovation of the school laboratory and staffroom block (Re-roofing, ceiling, windows and doors);

3. There is also renovation ongoing of the School Library;

4. There's equal a construction of additional toilets for the use of the students;

5. Apart from the completed renovation of a block of 3 classrooms which was delivered mid last year, there is a newly completed block of classrooms;

6. There is equally the renovation of the room near the Principal's office to serve as a Computer Room for the school. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀!

𝔸𝕝𝕝 𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕤𝕖 𝕨𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕞𝕒𝕕𝕖 𝕡𝕠𝕤𝕤𝕚𝕓𝕝𝕖 𝕔𝕠𝕦𝕣𝕥𝕖𝕤𝕪 𝗔𝗚𝗜𝗟𝗘 (𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁) 𝗮 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁.

Through the same project, our school is to be supplied with a set of 50 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀! any moment from now.

But they need the school to prepare ready, a Computer Room with computer tables and chairs including wiring 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗱 or else these would be given to schools that are ready with the facilities.

Unfortunately, our school is broke. The Principal had to plead with the members of the School AGILE Implementation Committee in order to utilise their entertainment allowance for the renovation of the Computer Room.

The Principal is hereby appealing to us, the old students, to bail OUR SCHOOL out so that we don't loose the opportunity.

I was personally at the school on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 and, coincidentally, I met the school management in an emergency meeting with the PTA Executive Council. Security issues that have to do with the safety of these facilities were top of the agenda.

And I can assure you, dear colleagues and fellow alumni, that this school management as well as the crop of diligent persons steering the affairs of the PTA in the school are trusted individuals who are keen on improving our school.

45TH ANNIVERSARY AND REUNION

Good afternoon dear colleagues
I hope we're all doing fine?

Remember our almer mata was established on the 30th of September 1980? This means that by the 30th of September, 2025, the school will be 45 years old! Can we begin to plan and strategise on how to celebrate this event in a grand style?

I welcome ideas and suggestions on how we can go about this please.

It was suggested we set up a planning committee with each set nominating a member to represent them in the committee. The committee can hen be inaugurated and given terms of reference.

Please can we begin to suggest names of the representatives of each Set for the 45th Anniversary Planning Committee?
