🥂 Celebrating Excellence in Quality Assurance Training at Yaba College of Technology!
As part of the activities commemorating the 36th Convocation Ceremony of Yaba College of Technology, the Skills Development Centre is proud to announce that 25 staff members and 15 industry experts have completed the Quality Assurance Assessor (QAA) training.
This landmark program, held in collaboration with the Centre of Excellence of the National Board for Technical Education - NBTE, equips participants with the skills to uphold and assess the National Occupational Standards (NOS) across key areas.
One of the program’s highlights is the certification of Olaleye Stephen, a 21-year-old mobile phone repair and maintenance technician, who is now celebrated as Nigeria’s youngest Quality Assurance Assessor. His achievement exemplifies the inclusiveness and transformative impact of this initiative.
This training, funded by the 250 million Naira Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) grant, enhances participants’ capacity to support learners and professionals in attaining the National Skills Qualification (NSQ).
The occasion was graced by the Governing council chairman Professor Funsho Isolaowa Afolabi, the Rector, Dr. (Engr) Ibraheem Adedotun Abdul, the NBTE Zonal Coordinator, Elder Aroge Ayo and the principal officers of the college.
