The Institute of Criminology and Penology (ICP) Nigeria is an educational and professional institute, established to promote wider research and expertise in the areas of criminology, penology and their many sub-disciplines across Nigeria; directed at professionalization of Criminology and Penology practice in this part of the world, to align with global practice.
Institute of Criminology and Penology is an independent, non-political, non-religious and nonprofit making body, governed by a Governing Council of experts and professionals in the field of criminology, penology, law enforcement and forensic pathology. It is approved by the Federal Ministry of Education, Guaranteed by the Federal Ministry of Justice and Incorporated by Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC-RC 919290) on 10 November, 2010.
The Institute is continually implementing advancements, to positively transform, develop and sustain professional excellence in the field of criminology and penology across Nigeria.
It encourages its members to obtain the requisite professional skills and knowledge and to apply them in their careers. The Institute raises the standards from time to time to keep abreast with international standard and global best practice. ICP maintains a register of criminologist, penologist and security practitioners in Nigeria, it also encourages unregistered academia’s, researchers, professionals and practitioners to avail of the opportunity and become a registered members of the institute.

Special greetings to you our esteem,
In line with the calendar of activities for the second half of the year 2019, we wish to notify all fellows of the institute to send to the national secretarial, the following;
1. A copy of their updated resume (with emphasis on new status, new publications, new courses attended or moderated, new professional institutions associated or affiliated with)
2. A copy of autobiographical information,
3. A recent passport photograph
NB. The purpose of this is to update the archieve of the institute, likewise to make public the autobiography of fellows of the institute at the website.
