Tarbiyah is not only about outward discipline, but about cultivating the heart so that a child loves Allah, fears displeasing Him, and feels His nearness. The key is linking discipline to worship. The Prophet  specifically mentioned not disturbing others with Qurâan recitation. If the Qurâan, the greatest of speech, should not be raised in a way that harms others in worship, then more so with any other kind of noise or distraction. Instead of simply telling children âdonât make noise,â we can remind them that being considerate of others is more than a social rule, it is a spiritual act of mercy. Grooming children in this way nurtures their taqwÄ and helps them act for Allahâs sake, rather than out of fear of punishment from people.

Our pupils had the honour of attending the 16th Annual Hijrah Lecture at the Lagos State House of Assembly. It was more than just an outing, it was a window into leadership, Islamic values, and the importance of civic responsibility.
Being in the presence of esteemed scholars and dignitaries left a lasting impression on their young hearts, planting seeds of confidence, ambition, and a deeper sense of purpose. May Allah continue to guide their steps as they grow into tomorrowâs leaders.

This Hadith highlights the importance of raising our children with a strong foundation in Islam, so they can grow up to be beacons of light and guidance for themselves and others.
By teaching our children about Islam, we not only secure their place in Jannah, but also our own. Letâs nurture the next generation of Muslims with love, knowledge, and faith, and watch them flourish into compassionate, knowledgeable, and righteous individuals.
Join us at GIFTS to inspire a love of Islam in the hearts of your children!

Building a strong foundation, one digraph at a time! Our 4-year-old students are learning to read and loving every minute of it.
Debating is an important skill for kids to learn because it helps them to think critically and see both sides of an issue. This is an important life skill that will help them not only in their future studies and careers but also in life more generally â it is crucial to understand concepts from multiple viewpoints to have a balanced perspective of the world (even if you donât necessarily agree with all those viewpoints).
Also, debating teach kids how to communicate effectively. They learn how to articulate their thoughts and arguments clearly and persuasively. This is a valuable skill not only in their education but all their dealings as it helps people bring others around to their point of view.
Debating introduces kids to different viewpoints and opinions. They learn about other peopleâs perspectives and can develop their own opinions on various issues.
At GIFTS, Debating clubs and public speaking courses are great extra-curricular activities we have provided for our pupils to get involved in and learn these invaluable skills.
