A Must Read for Any Internet Marketer...

DON'T USE FEATURES, USE BENEFITS. Only for those who want to increase their sales.

As a business owner, you continue to sell your goods and services.

You bring it up repeatedly.
Writing about it continues.
You sing about it all the time.

But wait first.

You can improve your sales by using a simple trick.

Using BENEFITS rather than FEATURES is the trick here.

Benefits, not Features, I repeat.

"B not F," I say it once again

Oh, okay, let's try to comprehend this a little better.

FEATURES

▪️Describe the purpose and operation of your product

▪️Talks about what the product has

▪️ Features are logical

▪️Offers a "What" response

BENEFITS

▪️Explains the result your product will provide the customer

▪️ Addresses the "Why" question.

▪️Benefits are emotional in nature and describe how the product will enhance the customer's life or solve a problem they are having.

I am aware that some individuals mistakenly believe features and benefits are the same thing.

Others think they are confusing.

Well, they're not, and you could tell from my explainations in the previous section.

To help you better understand them, let's use few examples.

EXAMPLE 1 - You want to sell an Umbrella

Benefits - Stay dry even in extremely strong winds

Features - It has unbreakable spokes

EXAMPLE 2 - You want to sell Chin-chin

Benefits - Diabetic patients, older parents, and anyone else looking for snack on low sugar just found the perfect snack.

Features - Baked, milky, nutritious chinchin

EXAMPLE 3 - Recall our maths teacher that is selling a video course on times table?

Benefits - Your kids can learn the times table in one hour.

Features - Your kids won't need to memorize the times table.

Example 4 - When Apple sold ther ipod

Features - 32GB of available storage

Benefits - You'll have 1000 songs in your pocket.

I have no doubt that you now understand the importance of selling with benefits rather than features.

What problem will my product solve for the customer?

Answer this while closing your eyes. In what ways will it improve his life?

There you have it, the answer is the benefit.

Remember, BENEFITS sells not FEATURES.

CONFLICT OF THE MIND

A thousand and one reasons will be given to you by your mind why you shouldn't start something.

Let's say for a Business, Your mind will tell you.

"So many people are into the same business, who will buy from you?"

"Can you wake up early in the morning?"

"Can you speak in public? An introvert like you"

"Imagine losing all of your money", and so on..

So it is to other significant things you want to achieve in your life?

Your mind is your first enemy when trying to accomplish anything.

Nothing is attainable unless you conquer your mental conflict.

Some of us have been unable to begin projects that we had planned to start at the beginning of the year because of our minds.

Would you still let your mind and fear stop you from achieving your goals now that the year is coming to an end?

You should also be aware that having a positive mind alone won't change anything.

However, changes occurs when you have a positive mindset coupled with Actions.

Don't Read This Message Because I'm Trying To Hide Something From You, Especially At The End And it's Long.

I was hanging out with an ex student about a month ago in Dubai.

She's a big girl now. We were therefore in Dubai Marina's Cove Beach.

We were Three - myself, my ex student, and Destiny

For the three of us, entry to Cove Beach on this particular day cost 3000 Dirhams.

That is approximately N316,000.

However, the money is used to buy food and drinks.

You won't receive any change even if you only use 2000 dirhams of the allotted 3000 dirhams.

This is due to the 3000 Dhs being the minimum spend.

In Dubai, a lot of upscale bars and lounges operate the same.

"I don't think we will finish our money before we leave this place," Destiny said to me.

She said this because we arrived at Cove Beach at 6 p.m. and they were supposed to close at 8 p.m.

"Well, let's see," I altered to her.

We ordered more drinks around 8 o'clock, but the waiter informed us that we had spent our minimum.

So, we had to pay an additional 600 dhs. This was when Destiny said to me.

"Boss, just on drinks and food for 3 people, we have just spent N380k.

Normal people should not live this kind of life "I concurred with her as well.

In places like Cove Beach, you most certainly won't see normal people.

Nobody in their right mind would enter a lounge and spend N380k on food and drinks for only 3 people.

However, I added to that by saying, "That is why we do what normal people don't do."

We give a lot up.
We work incredibly hard. We put a lot of money into our brains, and we take many chances.

This explains why we can afford things that average people cannot and live a lifestyle that they cannot live.

For example, Destiny told to me that she recently launched a campaign on Facebook and was spending N200k per day on advertisements.

However, Destiny did not begin spending N200k daily on Facebook advertisements.

Her beginnings were small. She faced alot of discomforts.

In the same way that I began running advertisements with my school money (which I lost 3 times)

Now, don't interpret this wrongly.

This is not a criticism of "normal people" far from it.

If you wish to live a typical, everyday life, that is totally fine.

Earning between N200k and N500k a month, saving a sizable portion of it, and investing it are all good things.

But a select few of us seek out the extras in life.

That's why we put in more effort.

For this reason, we pour a ton of money into coaching, books, and courses.

Because of this, we take absurd risks.

What's the point I'm trying to make?

It's to serve as a reminder that if you weren't born into the "good life," it won't come naturally to you.

In Les Brown words..

"If it's hard, work hard at it"

The next time you see someone reaping the rich rewards of their "legitimate extra labor," keep that statement in mind.

You need to put in extra effort if you want the same.

Stop acting local.

If you are scared, you will never succeed. Never!
