Most churches started by first looking for a place of worship and secondly expect human beings to come into the building to hear the gospel. The problem created by the above model include: inability to pay church rent, irregular church attendance by members, mixed multitude carnal membership, etc.
The Ministry model of Jesus is:
1 Start by first sharing the gospel
2. As you share the gospel, recruit/invite followers; identify & welcome followers sent to you by God
3. Encourage followers to recruit others even as you continue to recruit sharing the gospel.
4. Set a day to fast and pray to God to help you with selecting the 12 disciples/inner caucus of the Ministry out of all the followers.
5. Begin a well structured theoritical and practical(hands on the field) discipleship training

Good morning and thank God you made it into the second half of the year that starts with the 7th month. 7 is the number of perfection and beginning from today God will give you a fresh start and an all encompassing turn around as He perfects every area of your life in Jesus name!
As you join the 3 days fast this morning, please do the following:
1. Break fast by 6pm not earlier

2. Man shall not live by bread... Read your bible, use your concordance to search for the words: battle, war, fight, fear not, etc.(Most believers have never read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation at least once-you can change that starting today)

3. Worship God, praise Him and spend quality time to thank Him.

4. Pray from scriptures that the Holy Spirit (Rom.8:26) inspires you with as you read the Bible (In No.2 above)

Apostolic Ministry & Tentmaking: Acts 18:3
There are many scriptures that confirms that it was not GOD’S
Original intention for any servant of GOD sent (apostolos) into the field to cater for his personal needs. Matt 10:9-10, Lk 8:3, 1Cor. 9:6-16, Gal 6:6.

Full timers/any sent (Apostolos) by GOD will not lack Lk 22:35, 1Tim 5:17 – 18 and God or His work is not a reason to be poor 2Cor.11:7-9

So Why Study this Topic?
1. Different circumstance warrants different response Lk 22:35-38
2. Forethought/planning Prov 6: 8; 22: 3; 24:27, Eccl 11:1-6
3. We are in the last days 2Tim3:1-5
4. It is good to have a craft/business/job Acts 18:3 e.g Apostle Paul
5. It is more blessed to give than to receive Acts 20: 33 – 35
6. To help those in need or in crises Acts 28:30
7. To preach the gospel without charge 1Cor 9:14-18, 1Thess 2:9 (good example)
8. To obey the apostolic command as role model on orderliness 2Thess3:6-12

The Rabbis said “Whoever does not teach his son a trade is as if he brought him up to be a robber”. Among Jews, the boys were all compelled to learn trades.

Note: Tent making is not the best policy in some cases as it will result in new converts not being properly trained to support the work of GOD. 2Cor11:7-9, 12:13, compare Gal 6:6
