Happy Last Sunday of Christmas season
🌊 Reflection on Today’s Mass – The Baptism of the Lord 🌊
Dear Esteemed Parents and Guardians,
Today, the Catholic Church celebrates the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord, a significant moment in our faith that marks the end of the Christmas season and the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry.
In today’s Gospel, Jesus humbly presents Himself to be baptized by John the Baptist in the River Jordan. As He comes out of the water, the heavens open, the Holy Spirit descends upon Him, and the voice of the Father declares: “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”
This moment reveals Jesus’ identity and reminds us of our own baptism, through which we became children of God and members of His family.
For us as parents, guardians, and educators, today’s celebration calls us to renew our commitment to raising our children in faith, love, humility, and obedience to God’s will. Just as Jesus was guided by the Spirit, we are encouraged to allow God to guide our families and our school community.
🙏 Prayer
Heavenly Father,
We thank You for the gift of baptism, through which You call us Your children.
As You declared Your love for Your Son at the Jordan, may we always remember Your love for us and for our children.
Lord Jesus,
Help us to follow Your example of humility, obedience, and service.
Bless our students, teachers, parents, and guardians.
Guide our young ones to grow in wisdom, faith, and good character.
Holy Spirit,
Descend upon our school community.
Strengthen our families, protect our children, and lead us always on the path of righteousness.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
May today’s celebration inspire us all to live out our baptism daily in love, faith, and service.
God bless our families and our school community. ✨🙏
