Trade Education at GHC26

Liquid Soap Making

The learners participated in a practical class on liquid soap making. The activity introduced them to the basic ingredients, their functions, and the step-by-step process of producing liquid soap.

Ingredients used:

- Sulphonic acid
- Caustic soda
- Soda ash
- Texapon (SLES)
- Sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS)
- Nitrosol
- Sodium chloride (salt)
- Colour
- Perfume/fragrance
- Preservative
- Clean water

The learners carefully mixed the ingredients under supervision. They learned the importance of proper hygiene, safety precautions, and thorough mixing. At the end of the practical, they successfully produced liquid soap and gained valuable hands-on experience in soap production.

Faces (3) at Goldscholars Award Day 2026

The school's award day was successfully held with learners, parents, staff, and distinguished guests in attendance. Among the special guests present were the Patron of the School, Pastor Dr. E.K. Oluwatuyi, and Director Mr. Kehinde Okeowo. The event commenced with the arrival of learners and parents, followed by the arrival of the Director of Schools (DOS) and the Chairman of the Governing Board (CGB), after which a red-carpet session was held.

The programme officially began with an opening prayer led by Pastor Uchenna. This was followed by the procession of the graduating learners, the rendition of the National Anthem, and the School Anthem. The Principal delivered the welcome address, while the Director of Schools and the Chairman of the Governing Board gave inspiring goodwill messages, encouraging the graduating learners to strive for excellence.

The ceremony featured a variety of colourful presentations by the Pre-School, Primary, College, Ballet, and Cadet groups, showcasing the talents and creativity of the learners. The Head Boy also delivered a heartfelt speech on behalf of the graduating class, expressing gratitude to the school management, staff, and parents for their support throughout their academic journey.

The event continued with the presentation of awards to outstanding learners in recognition of their academic excellence, leadership, and good conduct. Guests and attendees were thereafter entertained with refreshments before the vote of thanks was delivered. The ceremony concluded with a closing prayer led by Mrs. Ofiaeli.

Overall, the award day ceremony was a memorable and successful occasion, celebrating the achievements of the graduating learners while reflecting the school's commitment to academic excellence, character development, and holistic education.
