HydroPreneur Initiative Expands "Be the Change" Project to Schools in Odosenlu 🌱✨
On Thursday, 13th March #2025, Hydro-Preneur Initiative project team, enmbarked on an exciting school visit as part of our Be the Change project. Our mission? To empower young minds with knowledge on sustainable agriculture and economic opportunities through innovative practices!
One of the major highlights of our visit was the heartwarming reception at Alaro Secondary School, Odosenlu, Ogun State, where over 200 enthusiastic learners eagerly awaited us. From the moment we arrived, their energy and curiosity reassured us that we were in the right place, making a real impact. 📢💡
We kicked off with a session, explaining the economic and academic benefits of sustainable agriculture. We discussed how hydroponics and innovative farming techniques can serve as a source of income, food security, and a hands-on learning experience that complements their academic curriculum. The learners were engaged, excited, and full of questions, eager to explore the possibilities that agriculture offers beyond traditional methods.🌾👐
To bring our discussions to life, we conducted a live demonstration in the school garden, planting special selected seeds of different crop varieties. The learners actively participated, thrilled to get their hands dirty and test their newfound knowledge in a practical setting.
One of the most rewarding moments was witnessing the dedication of these learners. They not only pledged to the garden in our absence but also took home some of the seed varieties to plant in their backyards!
As a team, this visit marks a significant milestone. We are broadening our scope and seeing tangible progress in the we have targeted. Each school we visit brings us closer to our goal of fostering a new generation of eco-conscious entrepreneurs. The support from learners and their eagerness to apply what they’ve learned proves that we are on the right path!
Gratitude to Alaro Secondary School Staff 🙌🏽❤️
We extend our sincere appreciation to the staff of Alaro Secondary School for their support and cooperation in making this project a success.
We will continue to provide updates on our progress in Alaro Secondary and the other selected schools we have covered—and those we plan to reach in the coming days! Stay tuned as we make agriculture and sustainability an exciting, profitable, and life-changing venture for young learners across communities. Together, we are the change! 🌍💙💡
