WORDS OF WISDOM TEACHING SERIES FOR TODAY

TOPIC:- EXTINGUISH FIRE EXTINGUISHERS(FINAL PART)

BIBLE PASSAGE:- Levt.6:12-13 "...the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning....The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out".

A subtle but deadly fire extinguisher to eliminate now is:

15. FLATTERY=>...From yesterday.........
FLATTERY as an excessive insincere and manipulative praises of men always make a man feel and have a wrong or an incorrect definition and impression about himself.

Because it comes mostly from a “DOUBLE HEART”; it extinguishes spiritual fire in the following ways:
a) It INFLATES the BALLOON of pride and self-deception...

b) It SHUTS OUT honest corrections and self-accountability....

c) It OPENS DOORS for hypocritical, deceitful manipulative and shallow spiritual depth relationships.
To this, Job.32:21-22 reveal that flattery always push to connect a man with some helpless and dishonest relationships which give him fake titles and glory; thereby disgusting the HolySpirit(the generator of spirirual fire) to stay away from him.

d) It DRAWS a man away from God.
This is because flattery(in form of good speeches) is an effective easy tool the devil and his agents use to deceive, weaken discernment, sow falsehood; which ultimately quenches a believer's spiritual fire Rom.16:18, 1Thes.5:19.

e) It MAKES a believer to loosen his spiritual guard; which opens doors for demonic attacks Eccl.10:8.
For example, had Paul and Silas were unable to deal with the demonic flattery that came for them in Acts.16:16-18; they wouldn't have been able to survive the attack that came.

Therefore beloved, it would be foolhardy to underestimate the attacking and destructive tendencies of flattery; just because it makes us feel good and accepted.
And by God's grace and help, flattery as a fire extinguisher can be eliminated by constantly doing the followings:

i. Humbly convert every flattery quickly to statements that give glory to God.
This was what king Herod in Acts.12:20-23 refused to do. Hence, he was destroyed.
So, avoid giving or receiving flattery. Col.4:5-6, Prov.27:6.

ii. Let humility that fans spiritual fire remain your attitude Isa.57:15.

iii. Surround yourself with honest people who fear God and will speak the truth in love. Seek sincere encouragement rooted in the truth Prov.27:6 & 17, Ps.1:1, Prov.1:10,

Spiritual fire thrives in the truth, humility, and honest assessments; and not in manipulative empty praises of men.
PRAY:- Oh Lord, deliver me from the attacks of flattery in Jesus name.

TOPIC:- EXTINGUISH FIRE EXTINGUISHERS(PART 23)

BIBLE PASSAGE:- Levt.6:12-13 "...the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning....The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out".

One more FIRE EXTINGUISHER that is a must destroy quickly is:

15. FLATTERY=>
It is a sweet but insincere or excessive praise given to a man; often used intentionally to manipulate, deceive, or make a man do ones' biddings.

People of God, inspite of how pleasant flattery makes a man feels, it always make a man to have a wrong or an incorrect definition and impression about himself.

This is why Ps.12:2-3 says:
“they speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with FLATTERING LIPS and with a double heart do they speak. The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things”.

That is, God detestfully defines flattery as an insincere manipulative praise given with hidden motives.

Heaven sees flattery as a pretence of loyalty, a concealer self-interests, a promoter of pride, an enemy of a life of truth and holiness; and as such an subtle but dangerous spiritual fire extinguisher.

Brethren, realistically flattery makes one feel sweet. But the fact that it comes mostly from a “DOUBLE HEART” makes it a spiritual fire extinguisher in the following ways:

a) It INFLATES the BALLOON of pride and self-deception till a man is trapped into thinking more highly of himself than he ought; thus blinding him unto spiritual and actual destruction Prov.29:5, Rom.12:3, Jms.4:6.
This destroyed king Herod in Acts.12:20-23.

b) It SHUTS OUT honest corrections and accountability by making a man to give preference to flatterers instead of rebukers around him Prov.28:23.
Looking at what false prophets flatteries did to Ahab in 1Kgs.22:6-13, truthful assessments are always suppressed, thereby blinding a man to his faults and sin; and by extention extinguishing spiritual fire.....TO BE CONTINUED......

Flattery is an invitation to board a vehicle with no brakes, driven by a blind driver to a destination of destruction.

A subtle but dangerous fire extinguisher that must be eliminated is:

14. PRIDE OF ACHIEVEMENT=>
Pride of achievement is an extention of PRIDE OF LIFE which is full of self-deception that believes that one is self-made, independent, and sufficient.

If Jn.3:27 says that,"...a man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven"; then PRIDE OF ACHIEVEMENT is an attitude that extinguishes spiritual fire through taking personal glory in one's successes, skills, or accomplishments; as well as forgetting God as the source.

Beloved, if in 1Cor.4.7(NLT) the question goes saying: "...what do you have that God hasn't given you? And if all you have is from God, why boast as though you have accomplished something on your own?"; then PRIDE OF ACHIEVEMENT extinguishes spiritual hunger(fire) through the display of the followings:

I. Spiritual complacency=> a take-it-easy lifestyle that reduces the importance of issues of eternal value to almost nothing.
It is a spiritual sedentary lifestyle that prefers to sit-in-tight in comfort or play safe; instead of being hungry to ascend unto greater spiritual heights.
It is the lukewarmness that makes a believer blind to his/her real spiritual need; because his hunger for spiritual growth has been killed Rev.3:17.

II. Focus on self and not on God; thereby killing the worship fire of prayer and thanksgiving Deut.8:17-18.

III. Resists God instead of submitting to Him; because the humility that fuels and sustains spiritual fervency and effectiveness has been
killed.
Also, it destroys a teachable and submissive spirit which hardens the mind against helpful corrections, rebukes, and instructions Jms.4:6, Prov.26:12, Rehoboam in 1Kgs.12:1-15.

IV. Self-exaltation replaces God's glorification Jer.9:23-24.

However beloved, the pride of achievement can be eliminated by doing the followings:
a) Acknowledging God as the source of every achievement Prov.3:6.

b) Staying humble before God; by not feeling that one already has enough of Him Mic.6:8, Phil.3:12-13.

c) Constant self(mind, motive) examination Ps.26:2, 2Cor.13:5, Gal.6:14......TO BE CONTINUED......

PONDER & PRAY
A FIRELESS believer is one that cannot be taught or refined; because his mind is lifted unto vanities of life Ps.24:3-4.
PRAY:- Oh my soul, you shall be lifted unto vanities, in Jesus name.

A deadly FIRE EXTINGUISHER that is a MUST kill is:

12. BITTERNESS =>
One of the fallouts of uncontrolled anger allowed to fester for long in the mind is BITTERNESS.

BITTERNESS related to unforgiveness, malice and unresolved offences is a toxic emotional condition that pollutes the soul and makes the heart hostile toward others and God; thereby deeply hurting oneself.

Beloved, if Heb.12:15 could say that "looking diligently....lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled"; then BITTERNESS is a hidden enemy that slowly quenches the spiritual fire of a christian.

Also, if the scripture above describes BITTERNESS as a “ROOT"; then if it is allowed to grow deeply and spreads widely; it becomes a SPIRITUAL CANCER capable of killing a believer's fire.

People of God, BITTERNESS kills spiritual fire in the following ways:
-> It POLLUTES by introducing spiritual toxins into the mind that houses the altar where spiritual fire burns Heb.12:15, Eph.4:31.

-> It GRIEVES the HolySpirit because He cannot stay in any toxic atmosphere created by offense and hatred Eph.4:30-31.

-> It HINDERS spirit-filled
worship in prayer, bible study and fellowship with brethren.
This happens when one allows unforgiveness to cook up bitterness which makes prayer ineffective; and by extention communion with God Mk.11:25.

-> It ENSLAVES a believer in satan's vulnerable prison.
This is because, bitterness gives the devil a foothold in a believer’s life, leading to the the quenching of spiritual fire; and unto an eventual decay 2Cor..2:10-11.

-> It SPREADS the poison of hatred in the assembly of the saints Heb.12:15.
Bitterness makes a christian to spread spiritual coldness and contamination to others; like Absalom did in 2Sam.13:21-22 and 15:1-6.

In addition, according to Matt.6:14-15, Mk.11:25 and Heb.12:14, BITTERNESS not dealt with is potent enough to stop answers to prayers and a believer's entrance into heaven.

Therefore, every sane heaven-bound chrsitian should by God's grace eliminate BITTERNESS by doing the followings:

a. Acknowledge and Confess the sin of bitterness 1Jn.1:9.

b. Seek to forgive offenders genuinely and immediately; because unforgiveness allowed to stay for long is the root of bitterness Matt.6:14-15, Eph.4:26.
Forgiveness is made easy when one by God's grace to begin to pray for ones' offenders Matt.5:44, 1Pet.3:9.

c. Allow the HolySpirit to Heal
one's emotional wounds Ps.147:3.

d. Be intentional with replacing bitterness with love and God's Word Rom.12:21, Col.3:16.

e. Always keep watch over your mind; through continual examination 2Cor.13:5.

f. Leave the vegeance and judgement of persistent or unrepentant offenders to God Levt.19:18, Rom.12:19.

BIBLE PASSAGE:- Levt.6:12-13 "...the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning....The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out".

One dangerous FIRE EXTINGUISHER that is a must kill is:

11. ANGER =>
One of the unavoidable outcomes of relating with people is OFFENCES; which in reality and unavoidably provokes unto ANGER.

And if the Lord Jesus in Lk.17:1 could allude to it saying: "...it is impossible but that offences will come...."; then it is an extinguisher always seeking for a spiritual fire to kill, and a life to destroy.

According to the world, ANGER is an intense emotional response to a perceived wrong or injustice.
But, in God's eyes, ANGER is being INTEMPERATE(hot-tempered); thereby stiring up lots of discords and troubles Prov.22:29(MSB).

That is, when quick irritation or provocation becomes uncontrolled or prolonged, anger becomes destructive; especially to a believer’s spiritual life.
No wonder Eph.4:26–27 says: "be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil".

People of God, ANGER been able to kill a believer's spiritual fire can be seen in the following ways:

a) It DISRUPTS fellowship with God by polluting the mind with bitterness; thereby making connection with the HolySpirit in genuine worship and prayer difficult. And as such quenches the fire on the altar Ps.66:18, 1Thesa.5:19.

b) It GRIEVES the Holy Spirit; thus making Him to withdraw His manifest presence. Nurtured prolonged anger irritates the Holy Spirit who is the source of the believer’s spiritual fire Eph. :30–31.
Moses as an example of this in Numb.20:10-12.

c) It BREEDS other sins like: malice, slander, and even violence; after it has stifled the flow of God's righteousness and grace, which are essential for spiritual fervency Jms.1:20.
Cain as an example of this in Gen.4:5-8.

d) It DESTROYS relationships and unity, by causing strifes and divisions in the body of Christ; thus weakening the spiritual atmosphere where revival fire can grow Prov. 5:18.
This is because according to Acts 2:1–4 unity and love among believers are essential for sustaining spiritual fire.

Therefore, ANGER as a fire extinguisher can be eliminated through the following intentional acts:

i. Practising self-control through the Holy Spirit. And according to Gal.5:22–23, “the fruit of the Spirit is....self-control”.

ii. Forgiving quickly and don't hold grudges Col.3:13.

iii. Submitting ones emotions to God daily; by being "...transformed by the renewing of your mind..."(Rom.12:2).
And one way to renew the mind is "let the word of Christ dwell in you richly...."(Col.3:16)

iv. Praying for a clean and circumcised heart Ps.51:10, Deut.10:16, Rom.2:29.

Another FIRE EXTINGUISHER to eliminate is:

10. TALKATIVENESS=>
Beyond doubts, temptations of too much talks when in a relationship are much; especially when one is happy connecting with a bossom friend; or admist people with mutual love and interests.

And truthfully, if Prov.10:19(NKJV) could say that "in the multitude of words sin is not lacking...."; then TALKATIVENESS cannot be less in being a dangerous spiritual fire extinguisher.

People of God, TALKATIVENESS is an attitudinal flaw of an habitual engagement in excessive, uncontrolled, or careless speaking; most especially without thoughtful reflection.

In spiritual context, TALKATIVENESS is a dangerous fire killer in that it is often a fertile habitat for idle words, gossips, slander, proud-talks; which assuredly DISTRACTS and WEAKENS a believer's resolve for prayer, meditation, and focus on building spiritual strength.

No wonder, Prov.17:27-28 say:
“HE(anyone) that hath knowledge spareth his words.....is of an excellent spirit. Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding”.

That is, the spiritual depth and maturity of a believer/christian is often gauged by his ability to refrain his mouth from talking Jms.3:13.

In addition, according to Jms.1:26, uncontrolled speech nullifies one’s efforts to grow spiritually. Because an unbridled tongue indicates an undisciplined spirit that allows the devil to steal precious time that would have been used to GROW in prayer and knowledge of God's word that fuel spiritual fire.

Moreover beloved, TALKATIVENESS dishonours God in a believer's life. This is why Eccl.5:2 says: “be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few”.

Therefore, before TALKATIVENESS causes irreparable damages to life and destiny; every heavenly-bound and destiny-pursuing christian must eliminnate TALKATIVENESS in the following ways:

i. Asking the HolySpirit for help in prayer; like David in Ps.141:3 prayed saying: “set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips”.

ii. Intentionally, practice seasons of quietness. This can be made possible by cultivating silence and solitude as a habit which enables hearing from God clearly Isa.30:15.

iii. Be intentional with words by practicing spiritual econony of words.
This can be made possible through an purposeful speaking of only words that edifies others, glorifies God, and reflects Godly wisdom Col.4:6,.

Another FIRE EXTINGUISHER that is a must kill is:

9. WRONG RELATIONSHIPS=>
Paul's saying in 1Cor.15:33(NIV) that "...bad company corrupts good character" should make every sane child of God know that WRONG RELATIONSHIPS are a powerful spiritual fire extinguisher that must be eliminated.

Though they may look harmless initially, but wrong relationships are satanically positioned strategically to STIFLE(suffocate, suppress) a believer's fire; that he/she may die spiritually.

People of God, WRONG RELATIONSHIPS are the close associations, friendships, partnerships, or even romantic relationships that draw a believer away from God’s presence where he would always get the fire to pursue his purpose, and remain pure.

Wrong relationships hinder quench spiritual fire in the following ways:
-> By DRAINING time and energy needed to grow spiritually; especially by engaging the believer in long talks leading to burnout of energy to pray; and by extension unto eventual spiritual weariness 2Cor.6:14.

-> By REPLACING God’s voice with carnal counsel which separates a man from God(Ps.1:1); as it happened to Eve in Gen.3:6; and the young prophet in 1Kgs.13:1-24.

-> By INTRODUCING ungodly influences that extinguish the fire of devotion; as shown in the Solomon's story in 1Kgs.11:1-4.

-> By CREATING pressures to compromise righteous standards; so that instead of burning for holiness, a believer begins to tolerate sin he once repented from; thereby losing spiritual fervor in the process Ps.1:1 & 10, 4:14, 1Jn.2:15.

-> By HINDERING spiritual sensitivity which makes way to dull spiritual senses, thereby opening doors for satanic traps; like it happened to Samsom in Judg.16:15-20.

However beloved, wrong relationships as a fire extinguisher can be eliminated by doing the followings:
(a) DISCONNECTING intentionally from wrong relationships; because Prov.13:20 says: “he that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed”. Isa.52:11.

(b) SURROUNDING oneself with godly influences Heb.10:25, Prov.27:17.

(c) Being PRAYERFUL and DISCERNING in forming relationships Prov.3:5-6, 1Tim.5:22, 1Jn.4:1.

(d) Always ENSURING that no relationship breaks one's fellowship with God; for Rom.8:35, 38-39 says: "who shall separate us from the love of Christ?...For I am persuaded that....angels...nor any other creature(man), shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord".

(e) SETTING boundaries of time, spaces and choices in relationships; because Exod.19:12 says: “...thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it…”.
Matt.7:6, Prov.25:17, Prov.22:24-27......TO BE CONTINUED......

BIBLE PASSAGE:- Levt.6:12-13 "...the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning....The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out".

Another fire extinguisher to eliminate is:

8. DEFICIENCY OF THE TRUTH ->
If the WOOD mentioned in Levt.6:12-13 is a metaphor of God's word; then the addition of a "defective wood" would always translate into a defective fire.

If Jn.17:17 defines GOD'S WORD as the TRUTH which is a spiritual fuel for spiritual fire; then the DEFICIENCY(absence, little or no quantity, low quality) of the truth in the life of a believer would always translate into a dead spiritual fire or a liitle measure of it.

People of God, without mincing words, DEFICIENCY OF THE TRUTH is the absence of accurate, sound, and complete knowledge of God’s word in a believer's life.

And ultimately, it leads to:
-> Ignorance which inimically destroys spiritual vitality Hos.4:6.

-> Proness to errors in thoughts, words and actions(attitudes) Isa.5:13, Rom.1:28-32.

-> Deception leading to a deficient mind; because a poor attitude to God's word is now fully developed 2Thess.2:10-12.
With deception, false doctrines take deep root in a man's mind; thus leading to a dead conscience unto a dead a spiritual life.

-> The deadness of discernement which helps to distinguish the truth from heresies Jn.17:17.

Beloved, the devastating effects of the deficiency of the truth on believers lives in these endtimes justify why Apostle Paul in 1Tim.4:1-3 warns strongly that "now the (Holy) Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.....".

That is, before you go into "...swift destruction..." through the heretic teachings of false teachers and prophets as mentioned by Apostle Peter in 2Pet.2:1; then you a heavenly-minded believer should IINTENTIONALLY eliminate this deadly fire extinguisher by doing the followings:

-> Intentional study of God's word(bible) to feed the spirit 2Tim.2:15.

-> Ardent obedience through the practise of what is read in God's word Josh.1:8.

-> Constant deliberate search for the truth(sound doctrine) 2Tim.4:3-4.

-> Fellowshipping in truth-centered churches Acts 2:42, Prov.21:16.

-> Crying to the Lord always for revelational knowledge in His word; like Nicodemus did in Jn.3:1-5. 1Pet.2:2..... TO BE CONTINUED......

Another fire extinguisher to be eliminated is:

7. DEFICIENT PERSONAL RETREATS =>
The divine instruction in
Levt.6:12 above strongly reveals God's prescription needed to meet the divine expectation of having a constantly burning spiritual fire.
And the prescription is nothing but constant spiritual retreats needed to renew the source of a christian's spiritual fire-power.

The truth is that deficient spiritual retreats is a bane that many children of God are battling with; to which many vices experienced in the church today can be attributed.

Deficient spiritual retreats is a shallow, irregular, or non-existent times of personal separation unto God for renewal, prayer, and focus on spiritual matters.

Beloved, deficient spiritual retreats dangerous to a believer’s spiritual vitality weaken or reduce a believer's fire and passion for God; thus leading to dryness, confusion, and vulnerability to sin.
Lack of fresh oil and fire(Ps.92:10), diminished revelations and spiritual clarity(Hab.2:1), exposure to temptations and spiritual attacks(Matt.4:1-11) and a weakened of inner man(Eph.3:16) will assuredly happen constantly to any christian without a regiment of spiritual retreats.

People of God, deficient spiritual retreats are caused by:
-> Busyness and Distractions (Lk.10:40-42, Mk.6:31),
-> Overdependence on church gatherings and fellow christians (Lk.5:16),
-> Lack or inadequate discipline(1Cor.9:27),
-> Zero or poor spiritual hunger(Ps.42:1-2).
-> Unconfessed sins and unabated sinful habits(Isa.59:2).

Therefore, as recharging restores power and efficiency to a battery on low power; so also will constant spiritual retreats provide avenue for constant rejuvenation, revamping and regeneration of a believer's spiritual fire-power.
That is, to avoid a dangerous BURNOUT of spiritual fire that happened to Elijah in 1Kgs.19:3-14, every serious-minded christian must constantly retreat himself to avoid a burnout which leads to spiritual death; in the following ways:

(a) Deliberate scheduling of personnal spiritual retreats; like Jesus(Mk.6:31) and Daniel(Dan.6:10) did.

(b) Intentional spiritual hunger(Matt.5:6).

(c) A regiment of constant all-night prayers and bible study(Lk.6:12, 1Pet.2:2, Col.3:16).

(d) A period of deliberate silence and solitude(Lament. 3:28).

(e) Accountability and Mentorship(Prov.27:17, 2Tim.3:10).

WORDS OF WISDOM TEACHING SERIES FOR TODAY

TOPIC:- EXTINGUISH FIRE EXTINGUISHERS(PART 13)

BIBLE PASSAGE:- Levt.6:12-13 "...the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning....The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out".

One subtle but deadly fire extinguisher is:

5. COMFORT =>
The commonsensical idea behind BUSYNESS is to be able to live a COMFORTABLE life on earth; especially after going through alot of stress.

However, COMFORT as good a little as it is for man is capable of killing spiritual fire; thereby leading to spiritual death.

Beloved, comfort in itself isn't a sin, because God wants us to be comfortable(Ps.23:1-2, Jer.29:11, 3Jn.1:2). But it becomes dangerous when it replaces hunger for God.

And as such, it is a subtle enemy capable of extinguishing spiritual fire(zeal, hunger) in the following ways:

a. BREEDS SELF-INDULGENCE instead of a life of sacrifice.
This is why Amos 6:1 says: "Woe to them that are at ease in Zion...".
Comfort makes a christian to develop the culture of EASE where sacrifice, evangelism, fasting, and spiritual labours are avoided. It makes believers to SETTLE in Zion instead of advancing the Kingdom.

b. HINDERS WATCHFULNESS in Prayer => following Jesus' disciples as an example in Matt.26:40-41, they chose the comfort of sleep over prayer; which made them unprepared for the coming trial.
And if we are to go by Jesus' rebuked them that "... the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak"; then comfort invites SLOTHFULNESS(spiritual laziness) which weakens spiritual alertness.

c. LEADS TO LUKEWARMNESS=>
The Laodicean church mentioned in Rev.3:15-17 became spiritually lukewarm because they were too comfortable. Their material wealth bred complacency, which suffocated their spiritual fire(zeal).

d. MAKES ONE SELF-DEPENDENT instead of being GOD-DEPENDENT=>
Following God's warning to the Israel in Deut.8:10-20, COMFORT in abundance can make a man to FORGET God. That is, while spiritual fire burns strongest in desperate minds; unbridled COMFORT always remove that desperation; because it makes the comfortable FORGET the importance of daily increament of spiritual capacity.

Therefore beloved, before COMFORT brings devastating damages to one's life in all areas, it is a must to ELIMINATE it as a spiritual fire extinguisher through INTENTIONAL DISCOMFORT; which can be done in the following ways:

-> Consistently positioning oneself in the place of SACRIFICE Rom. 12:1.
Constant sacrifice of leaving one's comfort zone to serve, pray, and fastre would always fan one's spiritual flames; thereby kindling fire always in the inner man.

->> Regular engagement in SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINES 1Cor.9:27.
Discipline helps a lazy christian to fight every comfort that puts off spiritual fire; thereby keeping the soul sharply on fire.

->>> Cultivate HUNGER for God Matt.5:6.
Divine fire never goes out in life of the hungry. Consistent and intentional stirred hunger through time in God’s presence and His Word always provoke pentecost-like experience for the hungry.

->>>> Constantly SURROUNDING oneself with men burning with fire Prov.27:17 & 13:20.
Fellowship with zealous believers stirs and sustains fire. Iron sharpens iron.....TO BE CONTINUED.....

Contextually speaking, "...she(anyone) who lives in PLEASURE(comfort) is dead while she(he) lives(1Tim.5:6 NKJV).
So, PRAY Solomon's prayer in Prov.30:7–9.
