AATU Shines at NIESV South-West Regional Quiz Competition

Students of the Department of Estate Management, Abiola Ajimobi Technical University (AATU) have once again demonstrated the University’s culture of excellence with an outstanding performance at the South-West Regional Quiz Competition organized by the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) for Higher Education Institutions offering Estate Management programmes in Nigeria.

At the competition held on March 10, 2026, our brilliant representatives Okedele Grace Omobola and Alabi Taiwo delivered an impressive performance, securing 2nd place in the South-West region, ahead of several notable institutions including University of Ibadan (UI), Lead City University, Ajayi Crowther University, and others.

This remarkable achievement reflects the academic strength, preparation, and excellence that AATU continues to nurture in its students.

👏 Congratulations to Okedele Grace Omobola, Alabi Taiwo, the Department of Estate Management, the Faculty, and the entire AATU community on this commendable accomplishment.

We are proud to celebrate an outstanding achievement by one of our 400 level Biotechnology students, Mr. Atoyebi Phillip Oluwatimileyin, who has been named a recipient of the 2025 Undergraduate Research Grant by the Helix Biogen Institute, Nigeria.

Emerging as the top awardee in a highly competitive national selection, Mr. Atoyebi distinguished himself through exceptional innovation, scientific merit, research feasibility, and potential impact of his proposed work.

Abiola Ajimobi Technical University, Ibadan, on Wednesday, 5th February 2026, held its 9th Matriculation Ceremony at the University’s Academic Building, formally admitting a total of 261 fresh students into various academic programmes of the institution.

A major highlight of the ceremony was the matriculation of the pioneer students of the Faculty of Allied and Basic Medical Sciences, marking a historic milestone in the University’s growth and academic expansion.

Historic First at Tech-U!

The Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences on Tuesday, 27th January 2026, hosted the University’s Maiden Faculty Lecture, marking the first Faculty Lecture in the institution’s history.

The lecture, delivered by Prof. Olukayode Adebimpe and titled “From Numbers to Health: Mathematical Epidemiology and the Future of Public Health,” highlighted the University’s commitment to academic excellence and interdisciplinary research.
