This term is dedicated to academic excellence, thorough revision, and the successful promotion of our students. We have carefully planned our activities to ensure a balanced mix of intensive learning and necessary breaks.

SHIIT AS-SALAFY SCHOOLS

These are important updates for our esteemed parents and guardians.

Firstly, the school sincerely appreciates the efforts of all parents and guardians for the great financial and moral responsibilities you undertake to provide your children with sound Western and Arabic education. As we approach the end of the Second Term of the 2025/2026 academic session, we pray that Allah rewards you abundantly and continues to strengthen you.

Secondly, the Second Term vacation will commence on Wednesday, 1st April 2026. Students are expected to come to school on that day to collect their report sheets/cards between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., after which the holiday begins immediately. We pray that Allah grants everyone a peaceful and beneficial holiday, and we wish you all a happy holiday in advance.

Lastly, the holiday coaching programme will begin on Monday, 6th April 2026. This coaching is very important and compulsory for all students, especially those in terminal classes (Pry 4, JSS 3, and SSS 3). Qualified teachers have been fully prepared to guide the students thoroughly in readiness for their upcoming terminal and external examinations. We pray for success and excellent performance for all our students.

🌿 SHIIT AS-SALAFY SCHOOLS PARTICIPATES IN THE SOPHISTS PUBLICATIONS ANNUAL TEACHERS’ SEMINAR 🌿

In our continuous drive for educational excellence and professional development, three dedicated teachers from Shiit As-Salafy Schools joined educators from across Oyo State for the Annual Teachers’ Seminar organized by Sophists Publications. The event took place at Western Hall, Oyo State Secretariat, Ibadan, on Thursday, 30th October 2025.

This year’s seminar centered on the theme “Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Schools,” exploring practical ways to support diverse learners in today’s classrooms.

Participants benefited from two in-depth presentations:
📘 “Understanding Special Educational Needs and Specific Learning Difficulties for Effective Classroom Support” — delivered by Mrs. Temitope Osunlana, and
📘 “Trauma-Informed Education” — presented by Mrs. Adesokan Dasola Abibat.

The sessions were rich, interactive, and thought-provoking, offering teachers valuable insights into inclusive education, trauma-sensitive teaching, and strategies to make learning accessible for every child.

We are proud of our team who represented Shiit As-Salafy Schools at this impactful seminar, demonstrating our school’s steadfast commitment to continuous growth, innovation, and excellence in teaching.

🌟 A Day to Remember! NIVEA Visits Shiit As-Salafy Schools again! 🌟

Yesterday, Tuesday, 21st October, 2025, our school had the honour of hosting representatives from NIVEA Skincare Company for the second time in 2025 in what turned out to be an inspiring and memorable visit.

The session began with an enlightening talk where the NIVEA team educated our students on personal hygiene, the causes of body odour, why we sweat, and the importance of showering at least twice daily—valuable lessons that promote confidence and healthy living.

Afterward, they generously distributed roll-on deodorants to almost 300 Junior Secondary students, over 150 Senior Secondary students, 50 Primary Four pupils (over 500 students in total), and all our staff members.

To make the day even more exciting, NIVEA presented special gifts to the neatest male and female students in both Junior and Senior Secondary sections, as well as to students who answered their puzzle questions correctly. 🎁✨

We sincerely appreciate NIVEA for their thoughtfulness, generosity, and commitment to youth hygiene education. Truly, it was a day filled with learning, laughter, and love! 💙

🙏 The program began with an opening prayer led by Abu-Haleemoh.

The program was enlightening and spiritually uplifting, with two impactful lectures delivered.

*📖 Lecture 1: Blessings of Being a Teacher in Islam*

The first lecture reminded us of the noble status of teachers in Islam. Among the key points:
• Teaching is a noble act through which Allah grants immense reward.
• It is often a sabab (means) for entering Jannah, because a teacher spreads knowledge that benefits generations.
• As the Prophet ﷺ said: “The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.” (Bukhari)
• The angels themselves send blessings upon those who teach people good, as mentioned in the Hadith.
• Knowledge shared by a teacher continues as a ṣadaqah jāriyah (ongoing charity), even after death.
• Teachers stand in the ranks of scholars, whom the Prophet ﷺ described as “the heirs of the Prophets.”

This was a beautiful reminder that teaching is not just a profession, but a path of worship and eternal reward.

*🎓 Lecture 2: Qualities of Teachers & Classroom Management as a Tool for Effective Teaching*

The second lecture focused on the practical side of teaching — how to be effective in the classroom and fulfill our responsibilities. 💡 This session started with a reminder that a teacher is like a candle — it burns itself to give light to others.

Key points included:
✅ Qualities of a Good Teacher
• Teaching is a promise — always fulfill it
• Know what to teach & prepare before entering the class
• Set good examples for students
• Be loyal, punctual, and responsible

✅ Classroom Management as a Tool for Effective Learning
• Effective discipline
• Thorough preparation
• Motivating students
• Providing a safe learning environment
• Building students’ self-esteem
• Encouraging creativity and imagination

Also, in this session, we discuss the importance of proper lesson note preparation and the need to update teaching materials to reflect current realities. We emphasize the importance of motivating students, even with small gestures like providing simple stationery. Additionally, we highlight the benefits of using reinforcement techniques to improve concentration and learning in the classroom.

Assalamu Alaykum Warahmatullah, This is to inform you all that WASSCE 2025 examination results are out and it’s now available at the school premises🏫.

Alhamdulillah, All praise is to Allah who has been with Shiit As-Salafy Schools always and always❤️🌹.

Despite the massive failures in this 2025 WASSCE results, Shiit As-Salafy Schools Students’ came out in flying colours. We have students with results like; 3A’s, 4B’s and 2C’s. Another student; 2A’s, 4B’s and 3C’s and so many excellent results, Alhamdulillah ❤️🤲

Unfortunately, five students are currently having issues with one subject [English Language].

But, Today 7th of August, 2025. The West African Examination Council [WAEC] sincerely apologize to the general public of some technical issues discovered while releasing the results and asked all candidates who have previously checked their results to recheck after the next 24 hours from now.

Hopefully, All shall be better In Sha Allah 🤲❤️.

Concerned parents/guardians can now come to the school premises for the collection of the results.

Today, Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, the SHIIT AS-SALAFY SCHOOLS (Nursery & Primary Section ) held its 🎙️17th End of Academic Session Program and Graduation/Haflah Ceremony 2024/25.

The event took place at the An-Najjah Islamic Institute Eid Pray Ground, Adjacent SHIIT As-Salafy Schools Ibadan. and was graced by dignitaries, including the proud parents, and well-wishers from far and near.

It was a moment filled with gratitude and joy; a beautiful reminder of God’s grace upon our school community, Alhamdulillah. 🙏❤️
