went to redeem my medals and dummy cheque for the National Mathematics Festival and African English Olympiad Competition held some months ago. I had a perfect score of 100% in each subject.

On my way home from the MAN Mathematics Olympiad Competition at Ajayi Crowder University Oyo Town, I visited a garri making market to witness how garri is made from processing cassava to the product-garri. Very interesting experience, I have to buy like 8 Congos of garri home because it was nice and cheaper at a ratio of 5 : 8 mathematically.

Through Mathematics competitions, I have been able to travel to cities and towns like Abuja, Abeokuta, Ile-Ife, Ibafo and Oyo town.

I have witnessed things I can't imagine. When I went to Oyo Town for the MAN Mathematics Olympiad Competition at Ajayi Crowder University,, I came across garri making industries / market, making garri from raw cassava: to peeling, to cutting, to grinding, fermenting, frying and to the last stage. It was so interesting to watch. The garri is better, Oyo garri is so nice to consume in different ways and the most interesting was that it was cheaper to Ibadan garri by half, which means the ratio of Oyo garri to Ibadan garri is around 1 : 2 or 5 : 8, luckily I bought 8 Congos that day on my way back to Ibadan.

Registration is ongoing for the African Mathematics and English Olympiad, scheduled to hold on *Saturday* , *24th October 2026* . Please note that the examinations are now *class-based* , with every participant writing papers appropriate to their current academic class.

I strongly encourage early registration, as it greatly facilitates effective planning and smooth coordination of the event by the organisers.
