Adieu To A Truly Talented Thespian: A Tribute To Ogogo From Sefiu Alao
There are some writings we wish we never have to pen. As there are some feelings we wish we never have to experience. But then, there is the reality of life staring us in the face. All mortals live to die! And when there a death of a loved one, the need to pay a tribute arises just as the feeling of grief engulfs one.
Hearing about the passing away of a close associate, brother from Ogun State and wonderful colleague in the entertainment industry, Alhaji Taiwo Hassan popularly known as Ogogo, threw me way off balance. Not that one was not aware of the deadly disease that occasioned the eventual inevitable, but for the fact that, there was still believe in miracles from God which we all prayed for, for him.
But God giveth and taketh, and He in His unquestionable position decided to take Ogogo from us. As painful as that came, all we can do as humans is to accept the tragedy as the will of God. Therefore, with a heavy heart, I mourn the passing of a complete gentleman, a truly talented thespian, and one of the highly respected actors that would always come upstage to spray money and appreciate my talent anywhere we met while he was here with us, Edunjobi; Oba Omo, Ogogo Omo Kulodo; Sun-n-n re o!
May Almighty Allah forgive all your shortcomings and grant you one of the best places in Aljanat Firdaus. Amin. Amin. Amin.
