*STAGES OF ADMISSION STATUS ON JAMB CAPS*

In the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) admission process, the status displayed on the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) portal is a crucial indicator of a candidate's progress. Here's a breakdown of the three key stages you mentioned:

*NOT ADMITTED(NA):*

This status means that you have not been offered admission by your chosen institution. It could be for a few reasons:

The institution has not yet released its admission list. In this case, you should continue to check the portal regularly, as your status may change.

Your institution has released its admission list, but you were not selected yet. This could be due to factors such as your UTME score, O'level grades, or a high number of candidates competing for a limited number of slots.

If you are in this situation and you’ve done the necessary things, you have to exercise patience as admission is a gradual process.

*ADMISSION IN PROGRESS(AIP):*

This status indicates that your admission is currently being processed. It's a positive sign, as it usually means you have met the general requirements for admission to your chosen course and institution. However, it's not a final admission offer.

This stage signifies that JAMB is reviewing your admission to ensure it complies with all necessary criteria. At this point, you should be patient and keep checking the portal for updates. Your status may change to "Congratulations, you have been admitted" if you are ultimately offered admission.

*CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAVE BEEN ADMITTED:*

This is the final and most desired stage. It means that you have been offered provisional admission into your chosen course and institution.

Once you see this status, you must take action. You will see an option to either "Accept" or "Reject" the admission.

After accepting the admission, you should proceed to print your JAMB admission letter.
