As a responsive organisation committed to providing efficient and accessible services, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has facilitated the verification of candidates’ O’Level results directly from the various examination bodies responsible for conducting the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), beginning with the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

Consequently, candidates can now upload their O’Level results from the comfort of their homes, while the Board undertakes the verification of such results directly with the issuing examination bodies.

The initiative is part of the Board’s renewed commitment to making services easier, faster, safer and more convenient for candidates. By using technology to reduce unnecessary visits to CBT centres, queues and manual processes, JAMB is putting candidate ease of service delivery at the centre of its operations.

The new arrangement also addresses challenges associated with manual O’Level result uploads, including misplaced or mixed-up paper results, presentation of unverified or fraudulent results, and errors in the manual entry of subjects and grades. Through the integration of JAMB’s eFacility platform with examination bodies, results can now be verified directly against the examination body’s records before being downloaded into the candidate’s profile.

2. Enter your “NIN” and click “Verify NIN”.

3. Select the desired number of sittings and the appropriate examination body/bodies, then click “Continue”.

4. Enter your email address and GSM number, then click “Pay Now”. You will be redirected to the payment gateway.

5. Make payment using your debit card or bank transfer.

*UNILORIN Announces October 5 Resumption Date, Admission List Expected*

The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has announced *October 5, 2026* as the resumption date for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Following the successful completion of the 2026 Post-UTME screening, the Chairman of the Admissions Committee, Prof. Abdulazeez Muhammad-Lawal, assured candidates that those who merit admission will be offered admission before resumption.

He also dismissed claims that UNILORIN does not admit students based on merit.

According to him, the Federal Government’s admission policy provides:
*🔹 45% — Merit*
*🔹 35% — Catchment Area*
*🔹 20% — Educationally Less Developed States (ELDS)*

“Any student that merits admission will get admission.”

*Freshers are expected to resume on October 5, 2026.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has made the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School Candidates digital certificates available for access through its Digital Certificate Platform.

Candidates can now proceed to the WAEC Digital Certificate Platform to access their certificates, subject to the applicable verification and authentication procedures.

The digital certificate is expected to provide candidates with a convenient way to retrieve and present their academic credentials when required for admission, employment, scholarship applications and other official purposes.

Candidates are advised to carefully verify the information displayed on their digital certificates and follow WAEC's prescribed procedures where any discrepancy is identified.

The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has released an important notice to candidates participating in the 2026/2027 admission exercise, directing them to urgently log into their admission portals and verify their O’Level results.

Candidates have been given a 48-hour window to confirm that their O’Level results are correctly uploaded, displayed, and captured on the University’s admission portal.

⚠️ 𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄:
The UNILORIN admission portal is expected to close by 3:30 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2026.

According to the University’s directive, candidates who fail to complete the verification before the deadline may risk having their admission consideration affected.

Candidates are advised to:
