POOR PREPARATION 1

In continuation of the last post, we looked into poor preparation as a mother that gives birth to poor performance in all sphere of life including academy.

Today I quickly want to share with you the difference between Reading and Studying. This is where most students missed it.

You will hear I really studied hard yet I had poor grade.

All things being equal you can't study well and still fail.
Here comes the difference:

READING is the process of interpreting written language. Its main element is interpretation.
Reading is meant to interpret what is written.

STUDYING on the other hands, means to fix mind closely upon a subject. It means to muse, to ponder.

Studying entails careful examination to acquire knowledge on a subject. It is to look at the subject topic minutely.

You can be reading and be playing, joking and keeping other thoughts but you cannot be studying and be doing those acts.

The secret to academic excellence is in studying and not just reading.

Reading preceded studying.

When you study you take extra note which serves as key points. These serve as great reminder during revision time towards your examination.

Today, I will be discussing on the secrets to having an excellent performance in your study.

I will like to start from the main thing that cause students to fail.

So for some days we shall be looking at the reason why students fail.

POOR PREPARATION

The saying is true " poor preparation begets poor performance"

Success of any kind and in any venture is not gotten on the platform of laziness but through industry, so also is academic excellence performance.

So as students if you want to do well in your study,passing those difficult subjects ones, then you have to put a lot of preparation in your study.

There is a lot of difference between reading and studying,yet most students do not know this.
